Forks High

Third person POV 

Hermione's heart took leaps as she ran to the water with Jake looking shocked and elated at the same time. She had loads of fun with the gang and when she was gearing to leave Seth pulled her aside, " hey mione, what do you  think of Jake ?". Hermione was taken aback by how straightforward Seth was but replied with a " he's a fine gentleman I'll give you that, but I want  to gently tell you, Seth, to stop playing matchmaker " Hermione giggled while Seth turns the color of a beet. 

He smirked slyly and said " but...... it worked didn't ?"

" What does that mean ?"

" Seth ! that's enough. Let's go, the tribe leaders want to arrange a meeting regarding the behavior of some members ( Sam glared at Seth ), Oh Hermione, it was nice to meet you, really, I mean it". 

And with that Sam and the gang loaded onto the truck left leaving me and Jake. " Well I got to go, I have school tomorrow. Do you go to Forks High by any chance Jake ?" Hermione secretly wished he would say ' oh yea I do, I'm the most popular guy in school ' But instead he says "oh no I don't, I.... I go to a special school, but the le- I mean Cullen's do, and I heard from Seth your tight with Bella ( Jake spat the name like acid ) so you guys will probably be close with each other ". Hermione got the feeling again, like Jacob knew something about the Cullen's but yet again the timing was off, " I need to leave. Tribe meeting and all.... you understand right ? Cool, see you some other time Hermione ". Jake gave her a hug before she could walkaway and caught her scent ' I will always be there to protect you now '

Hermione's POV 

I got home around 5.... way too late I thought but Bella wasn't even home at the time. Charlie drove me to the bookstore until she came home. 

" Hermione feel free to get all the books you want, even stationery, I got Bella a car when she moved to Forks. Can't do the same thing twice so I'm sorry but were gonna stick to study material "

I hugged Charlie. Books are all I ask for. I really don't want anything else. Charlie got me all my textbooks (6 ), planners (2), stationery (pens, notebooks, pencils, highlighters, erasers etc ) and even bought me 2 books to read. I felt ultimately prepared for the year and I was honestly excited to see what was going to happen with this year. We come home around 8 but Bella still isn't home. I'm concerned but Charlie says it's normal for Bella to be gone cause she's probably with Edward. I forgot all about him. That vampire is gonna face me tomorrow and I wasn't even prepared in the slightest. 

~ The next day ~

I wake up the next morning at 6. School starts at 9 and according to google maps it's only 15 minutes away from Charlie's place so no rush to get ready. I get out of bed and unlock my muggle phone to see if Harry or anyone tried to contact me. Still nothing. ' Hermione your friends are aurors they are busy, they can't just call you whenever you damn please'. I go to take a shower and the house sounds surprisingly calm. As I walk past Bella's room I notice she isn't in there ' maybe she's already up '. I come out of the shower and decide to change into my school clothes. I wear my new white and orange sweater tucked into my denim rip jeans and white Nikes. I tie my hair in a messy low ponytail and do my makeup very moderately. I look at the nails that Emily helped me do after we were done playing in the water the other day. They look so pretty.
