The Party and The Crime

Veronica's POV.

I wake up today and I am feeling the most amazing feeling ever. I dont really know why because I am not exited for the baby gender reveal party. I get up and look at the clock on the wall. It is 12 in the morning. The party is at 3. I go downstairs and there is a whole lot of things going on. There were aloot of people running around hanging on the decorations me and Fallon picked out yesterday. Fallon notices me with my jaw open and then smiles walking towards me. "Sooo" she says. "Fallon what is all this?" I ask. "The decoration for the party ofcorce!" She answers. "How many people are coming Fallon?" I ask while whining. "155" she answers. "What ?!" I say screaming. "Fallon I dont want that much people at my party" I tell her. "Well too late we already invited them." She says with a huge smug on her face. "hey carefull with that, and you over there blonde guy, move this alittle to left , no to the right" she screams at some workers and then she leaves constructing more people. I roll my eyes and go to the kitchen to get breakfast. I open the fridge and then I hear a voice behind me. "Morning" it was Steven. I turn around. "Morning" another voice says. It was Sam. "Good morning, what are you doing in the kitchen ?" I ask Steven and Sam. "I wanted to check if they had anymore of those yummy croissants they always do here." Sam says. I start laughing. "Are you doing these eggs again ?" Steven asks. "I dont know. Maybe ? Do you wnat me to make the eggs ?" I reply. "Heck yea" he says and I smile. "Sam you have to try those eggs she makes." Steven tells sam. "Sure" sam says. "Ok two more eggs it is" I say and start grabbing eggs and cracking them into the pan while Steven and Sam wait on the table. "Mmm that is a good smell, I didn't know you could cook." Sam says. "Oh there is alot about me you dont know my friend" I tell him as I laugh creepily. "Ok why don't we go and hang out at La Mirage next Saturday? And you can bring any of your friends with you if you like." Sam says. "Sure why not. And pfft friends as if I have any other friends other than you and Kirby." I tell him. The gives me a small smile. "Ok eggs are ready." I say as I grab the hot pan onto the table. Steven and Sam start eating. "Mmm that is sooo gooood" sam says as he is chewing wich made me giggle alittle. "Ofcorce it is, after all I'm the one who made it" I tell him. Suddenly the memory of my mom comes through. I remember her everyday. As if I even forget her for a second. I miss her so much. I miss her and I just want to hide in behind her warm hands again. I want to see her again. I want her to sing for me before I sleep again. I want to spend the best moments of my life with her again. I feel bad lying about how my mother died , and when she died. She died 6 years ago , when I was 14 and she didnt die because of a car accident... my thoughts get disturbed with Sam's voice repeating my name multiple times. "Veornica !" He shouts once again. "whaaaat" I scream. "I was asking you about something." He says. "And I was thinking about something." I tell him. "What were you thinking about ?" He asks me. "Nothing important , just business" I lied. "V is there something wrong ?" Steven asks. "No" I answer and there is a little of silence in the room now. I break the silence. "Now you are calling me V too ? You know I dont like nicknames. Never call me that again." I tell Steven. "Well then were is the fun in calling you your real name when we can piss you off with your nickname" Steven jokes. I smile. I think alittle about the excuse I made and I remember the designer I emailed yesterday. I get up and head for my room. "Where are you going" Sam asks. "Pfft to my room" I reply.

I open my laptop and check my emails. The designer has replied. 'Hello Miss Carington it would be a pleasure for me to come for a job interview. Please set a date for my job interview with my assistant. My phone number is ××××××××' I smile to myself and then I call the number he gave me.
