Moving

Nick's POV

*On the phone*

"Hi mom! Yea I miss you too. Things are great." "Who are you talking to?" Asks Symonne. I put my hand over the speaker. "My mom," I say and resume my conversation. Symonne nods. "Yea, so what did you want to tell me?" "No mom, you can't. I'm 18. I have my own life. You don't understand! I love Symonne and we've had so much fun together!" Symonne starts to tear up not even knowing what is going on. "No mom. Ugh, fine. I hate you." I hang up and bury my face in my hands. "What?" Asks Symonne. "What happened?" I look at Symonne's longing eyes. I hate to hurt her but I have to tell her. "My mom just bought an apartment and she wants me to move in with her." I sigh. Symonne cries even harder."No! Nick, you can't! I love you so much and you're like my best friend! You can't move away please please don't!" She sobs. "Don't worry," I say patting her head on my lap. "I'm moving into the same apartment complex that Ayden lives in. I'm not moving AWAY, just moving in with my mom." I reasoned. I guess it isn't that bad of a move. "It's a 45-minute drive from my house!" Symonne starts walking up the stairs. "Symonne, we will still spend every moment of the day together!" I say giving her a hug. "I'll tell you what, every day at 8 AM I'll come over to your house and spend every day with you. OK?" I reason. She nods. "But will we still-" I interrupt. "Yes, we will still go shopping at Rodeo Drive once a week." "Yes, but I'll still miss you!" Symonne wipes away her tears. Seconds later I feel a warm drop of water streaming down my face. "When are you leaving?" "Tomorrow I move. Tonight I'll take you out to dinner."
