Brightons POV
The next day when I got school I heard kids whispering "did you hear bout' da' girl who saved the baby from-" they all stopped and starred at me when they saw me walk past.
I put my bag Down where a girl came up to me. "hello! My name is Harriet. And are you the girl who saved the baby?" She asked turning back to her friends giggling. I didn't know what to say. I just nodded, the girl left and went back to whispering to her friends, and telling other people.
They all say "saved the baby" , but really I saved the whole world.
I felt like someone was staring at me, I turned around and sawp he boy from yesterday. "you were at the support group" he said pointing a finger at me. "yeah, so?" I said not really making a big deal of it but then he smirked. I thought what he was smirking about, the i realised what I had decided to tell at the meeting. I stared at him "if you tell anyone, I swear i WILL slit your throat. don't you think for 1 second I won't!" I said sternly.
"I wont! But as long as you be my friend" he said.
He wants to be my friend. he really wants to be my friend. "what's your name?"
"Ben" he answered.
After school I found beth. she looked excited "I always wanted to pick up my kids from school. Now I know your not actually my kid but...." she trailed off.
Beth always wanted kids. she always looked after Judy. I have to admit, she would be a great mother. "well I think of you as a mother" I said cheering her up. he eyes brighten "thanks bri" she said gripping my hand as we started walking off.
The rest of the walk home was in silence. when we were almost home, I notice something I didn't before. I let go of her hand and looked at her "YOUR GETTING MARRIED??!!!" I shouted.
Beth nodded and hugged me. I was so happy!
"What's that song you sung to me once? About getting married?" I asked remembering good memories.Beth started singing away as I did little silly dances "lets get married tonight, after we drink all up the wine." until we walked into the door fooling down on the couch giggling our heads off.
"What's so funny girls?" Daryl asks fixing up his crossbow. "Bri's dancing" beth said in between giggles.
I love my family.
