[Your name] had been in the alternate universe for nearly a week now. Bonnie had yet to find anything, but she had recruited the help of her friends and another witch she knew. For the Mikaelsons, however, they stuck to their home. They absolutely hated it and were becoming far too antsy for their own good, but they each knew that it was a way that they could protect themselves, and protect their soulmate.

As Elijah fixed [Your name]'s favorite meal in the kitchen, she and Kol sat in the living area, watching the television. Well, it was more like, Kol was watching the television and [Your name] was resting against his shoulder, trying to stay awake. However, she continued to nod off.

Only when Kol loudly said her name did she sit up straight, looking right at him with wide eyes. Kol cheekily smiled at her, leaning over to kiss her cheek.

"Sorry. Didn't mean to scare you."

"Liar," she huffed softly, resting her head back on the couch cushion. "What? What was so important that I couldn't sleep?"

He could have melted at the pout she kept on her lips, but he didn't say anything else. He just smiled and looked back at the television.

Only minutes later, when Elijah came in with her food, she realized he woke her so she would be awake to eat.

[Your name] gave Elijah a soft smile. "Thank you! You didn't have to cook anything for me, I'm capable."

Elijah smiled as he sat the food in front of her. "I know," he pressed a kiss to her forehead.

He left soon after, going to Klaus.

They both had no idea what they were going to do. They most certainly didn't want anyone to die, but they didn't want [Your name] to leave. That was one of the last things they wanted to happen. After a thousand years of wondering where in the hell their soulmate could have been, they finally found her. And the Universe was wanting to take her away, yet again.

Klaus downed a glass of whiskey, frowning as he felt the faint tingle. Alcohol wasn't the same as when he had been human. But it made him feel better. He sighed softly and looked over at Elijah as he sat down on the sofa across from him.

"Have you heard anything?" Klaus asked.

Elijah shook his head, pulling out his cellphone. "Bonnie said she would stop by tonight with what she found. I am hoping there was some sort of breakthrough and they've figured out a way that would allow [Your name] to stay here with us."

Klaus frowned. "As much as I would like that to be true. What will we do if it's not?" he cleared his throat. "I know it's not like me," he chuckled softly. "Normally, I would fight hair and nail to keep someone like her around. But this is something that... seems far out of our control. Something that not even a curse would be able to fix."

Elijah paused for just a moment, staring at the dark oak coffee table before he looked up at Klaus. "That's... that's it, Klaus. A curse. Perhaps that is what this is," he stood up, beginning to pace back and forth across the room. "Bonnie said she brought [Your name] to this world by reiterating a spell incorrectly. It is possible that someone in her bloodline had a curse against [Your name] and that is why she came here with that spell. Or," Elijah said, his hand resting against the back of the sofa as he thought. "Perhaps we can keep [Your name] here with a curse."

Klaus rolled his eyes, kicking up his feet onto the coffee table. "How would that work? She is to be our undoing, is she not? How would a curse help her to stay?"

"Hold on." he continued thinking, the gears in his head turning with each step he took. "What if we were to turn her?"

Klaus blinked at his brother, cracking a soft smile. "Well, there you go, brother, with the bright ideas. Now, why would we turn her? What good would that do?" he asked.

"If we were to turn her, then she would be dead, wouldn't she?" Elijah asked, coming to sit back down in front of his brother. He might be answering a question with a question, but it did make sense. "The only thing we would have to figure out is if Bonnie would believe this is a good idea."

"How would we know if it works?" Klaus questioned, leaning forward to pour himself another glass of whiskey.

"I... suppose that we don't know unless it does work. If we go a month or so with everyone still alive, then I would say it works."

"And if it doesn't? We'll have one dead sibling and we'd have to send her back into a world where she's a newly turned vampire. Brother, I hate to say this, but how is it that right now, I am sounding like the rational sibling? Shouldn't that be you?"

Elijah deadpanned, leaning back on the couch. "Yes. It should be. And of course, this is just a theory. A hypothesis of such. But should we at least try? We could always find a way to bring us back. We always do."

Klaus pursed his lips. "And if we can't?"

Elijah frowned. "Is that not a chance you want to take? For one of us to be gone, knowing that we did everything we could to give everyone else the chance to save our soulmate?"

"I cannot believe I am about to say this, dear brother, but I do believe you have a point," Kol said from the doorway. He came in and took a seat beside Klaus.

Elijah looked over his shoulder, making sure that [Your name] wasn't there.

"She's still eating. And the television is loud enough that she can't hear you. But I've heard every word. Do you think it would work?" Kol asked, sitting on the edge of his seat. "I..." he looked between his brothers. "It sounds like it would. To the Universe, she would technically be dead, wouldn't she? The witches always say that when we are turned, we are dead. We go to the Other Side. There is no heaven or hell for us, just a purgatory. That..."

Elijah nodded, stopping Kol as he stood up. "I'll go and see what Bonnie has to say about that. One of you go and catch Rebekah up to speed. We'll see what we can do, alright? And do not," he looked at his brothers, "mention this to [Your name]."
