Thanksgiving

Danielle clears her throat the nervousness causing a knot in her throat and making her stomach twirl, she shakes her thoughts away. She'd kissed Stefania thousands of times maybe even a million, but right now in this moment, it felt like she was a young 14 year old girl again experiencing her first kiss.

She flicks her mirror a little to the side, making sure that her hair hadn't gotten messed up from the wind, which it definitely had, "stupid fall weather!" She mutters under her breath and raising her hands in the air. She bounces her hair a couple time, imagining all the possibilities that could go down to night, happiness flutters through her body. She grins at herself in her car mirror then fixed it back up and opens the door, she allows her left foot to plant on the ground first.

Her silver/ white hills showing through the empty space between the end of the car door and the pavement, she then sets her other foot onto the ground also, reaching her hand up to the top of the door and pulls herself fully from the driver's seat.

She sets her phone on top of the car along with a pack of cigarettes she was giving to Daniela, she grips her purse that is laying in the passenger seat and closes the door shut.

This is it she thinks, it was officially thanksgiving and now was the time she was going to tell Stefania exactly how she felt. She feels a shiver go through her spine, not just because the anticipation was basically the only reason she hadn't psych her self out. And the cold breeze from the fall weather was hitting her empty back, now in this moment she was cursing her self out for not even bringing a light jacket.

"Ok, you got this Danielle... you got this!" The light whisper she was betraying at the beginning of her motivational speech had become a harsh demand. She nods and grabs her phone in one hand and the pack of cigarettes in the other, with the red and white dress she had on floating in the wind, softly hitting the pavement as her steps went forward to the door, she finally knocks.

Not a quiet knock, no, more of a bang against the outer door, she could hear all of the voices from inside so the best way for them to hear her was to give the door a hard slam with her fist. She steps back a few feet, and not even 10 seconds later the door bulges opens so with Stefania holding out her long arms.

Danielle giggles to herself and throws her body into her friend, "hi."

"Hi bambina! You look amazing," her accent made her whole body flutter with chills and her stomach fill with those annoying butterflies she always got when she was with her. Stefania wore a elegant red dress that was only a couple inches above her knees, she also wore long black furry boats with her hair laid down past her shoulders.

"You look"- Danielle looks her up and down, "you looks so beautiful Stefania." This statement caused her to blush a little adding to the already light pink blush added over her cheekbones.

"Come in! It's cold," she announces and moves out of the way, letting Danielle slip by. Her house was fully decorated in red, Orange, and yellow colors. Fake leafs set on the entry table, curtains on the windows had small pumpkins on them, the dining table filled with, 'thankful' designed plate mates. All the blankets were a fluffy white and red color, tiny carved pumpkins that had letters and faces were laying on a platter along with fake grass that sat in the middle of the living room table.

A Couple pictures from stefania and her family in a pumpkin patch was sitting on some hanging shelfs, honestly Danielle's house had only a couple pumpkins outside of her door and a placemat that had, "happy fall" on it.

Daniela runs up to Danielle and pulls her into the biggest hug ever practically chocking her. "Daniela! Don't squish her!" Stef yells tugging at her arm.
