THE CHANGE
Continuation-
"Daniel! Daniel! Daniel!" Daniel opened his eyes , his sight was blurry so he blinked a few more times to see where he was . He looked around him and saw it wasn't the usual ceiling and the place he used to wake up to .
Looking around the unfamiliar room again he noticed he was in a hospital , he sighed and blankly stared at the ceiling above him . After some minutes of silence and staring at the ceiling a nurse came in to see the boy awake and spoke " Your awake " this made the boy turn to look at the nurse standing some metres away from his bed .
He tried to sit up but failed to do so when a headache so painful striked him , making him plop down on the bed with a slight 'ugh' . The nurse saw him struggle to sit up and came to help him.
Daniel's mind was filled with questions as to why he was in the hospital , how he got here , why he was having such a terrible headache, but there was one question that was bothering him as to 'where was his mother ' . He then thought to ask the nurse about his mother " excuse me" Daniel called ,the nurse responded with a simple yes " Can u tell me where my mother is " he asked her .
The nurse went silent when the boy asked her about his mother , her mind went into a debate whether she should tell him about his mother or not . She debated with herself for a good ten minutes and finally thought to tell him about his mother .
"Your mother is ...... Um " she hesitated and looked at the boy who was waiting patiently for an answer , she sighed and told him " Your mother had a car accident"she continued " And sadly we were too late to save her"
A tear fell from his eyes when he heard the news of his mother's death , unable to keep up with the news of his mother's death Daniel starts crying .He keeps on crying sobbing and sniffing , the nurse who was near him tries to comfort him but Daniel doesn't stop crying ,he cries until he gets tired and falls asleep . The nurse gently lays the blanket on top of him and exits the room.
While Daniel was asleep two men came to his room " Is this the boy " he asks , the other man who was standing behind him answers politely " Yes Sir " " hmmm" he nods and waves his hands directing the man behind him to leave .
The man who was standing there looking at the sleeping figure of Daniel stares at him for some minutes and starts walking towards him while taking a chair and sits beside him still staring at him.
The man who was sitting beside Daniel was 'Adam Kim' the owner and also the founder of the most renowned company ' Kim's Corporation ' .
Adam was a man who was feared but also equally respected both in the outside and underground world . He was a fairly handsome man aged 45 and standing tall at the height of 6.1ft . Being a person who had a lot of responsibilities he always kept a strict and stoic expression , cold and uninterested in anyone or anything that didn't perked his interest making him unapproachable and those around him scared of his menacing aura but he was also respected as a hardworking person , a man of his words and praised for his calmness and intelligence when it came to work. Simply speaking Adam was a man who was on top of the food chain .
Daniel opened his eyes for the second time that day he looked dazed and lost , remembering about his mother's death again . Spacing out to his own world he didn't realize that a man was sitting beside him until the man spoke "Hey..." Daniel flinched when he heard the voice , he turned his head to the source of the voice .
Daniel's eyes widen when he saw a man staring at him .
Adam spoke again this time a little softly " Are u Daniel Park?"
