...

"you really dont have to buy me anything." i said looking at the awfully adorable moroccan holding my hand.

"i know," she said looking up meeting my gaze, "but it want to. you deserve it."

"deserve it? " i question internally, "what did i do to deserve it? "

it was us next in line. my social anxiety was quite embarrassing. i ALWAYS stuttered when ordering.

"what do you want?" she asked nudging my rib cage gently with her elbow, "want me to order for you?"

my heart warmed at her consideration. i nodded at her and she sent me a smile. i looked up at the menu, we were at the " place to be " taco bell.

"ill take jus a beef burrito." i told her and she nodded smiling at me.

"what drink?" she asked and i shook my head, no.

"you're buying me food. no need to buy me a drink." i told her and she squinted at me thinning her lips for a brief moment.

"coke it is." she huffed. before i could protest any further it was now our turn to order.

"hi, welcome to taco bell what may i get for you today?" the cash register asked.

"hi," she greeted, "may i get two beef burrito meals."

"of course," the cash register responded tapping the screen in front of them, "to drink?"

"um one dr. pepper and one coke please." she responded looking over her shoulder at me.

"alright," they responded, "your total will be 7.25."

"mmhm." she hummed releasing my hand.

i watched her carefully unzip her hand purse. a light pink wrist hand bag. she pulled out a ten and handed it to the cashier. they took the money and handed her, her due change as well as the receipt.

her and i walked away from the register to the side of it where people awaiting their orders as well. i waited to see how long it would take for her to notice the guy wearing a jimmy butler jersey.

"zayne!" she whispered yelled seconds after my thought, now tapping my bicep repeatedly, "oh my God! he's wearing a jb jersey!"

i laughed smiling at her then at the guy in the jersey.

"i want one, but they're hella expensive," she sighed. her hand holding onto my wrist then slowly slipping into my fingers, "you and i should get matching jerseys. when the season re starts we should like watch the games together too."

i felt my smile stay on my face as i nodded my head agreeing to what she was saying.

"i would love to watch a game with you." i thought happily.

"do you watch flight?" i asked her.

"what it do flight crew," she answered and i chuckled quietly. "i also watch jxmyhighroller."

"really?" i queried, impressed. i pouted my lip giving her a nod of approval. she laughed and slapped her chest.

"yessir," she said smiling, "the only time im interested in graphs."

"right?" i agreed smiling at her. she squeezed our holding hands. i squeezed back gently.

"order 76!" a lady called out.

yasmine looked down at our receipt then dropped our holding hands and started off towards the counter. i followed after. she smiled at the lady before grabbing the bag of our food while i grabbed the drinks. her and i walked through the food court to an empty booth for the two of us to eat at.

i walked over to our chair area. i pulled out her chair for her and she sent me a small smile. she sat in the chair. i could heard her bracelet hit the table as she rested her hands on the table. i sipped the drink to my left tasting coke, placing the drink in my right hand on the table. i pulled out my chair taking my seat.

"after this i wanna get this bracelet from pandora." she told me digging into the bag and handing me a burrito with four hot sauce packets.

"another ring?" i asked her.

she shook her head no responding with, "a bracelet. wanna see?"

i began unwrapping my burrito nodding my head in response to her question. she sipped her drink before flipping her phone over and tapping the screen several times before flipping it over to show me a $100 tennis bracelet.

"it looks expensive." i commented taking a bite of my burrito.

"thats why i want it." she admitted taking a bite of her burrito as well.

...

"can i get the smallest size." yasmine asked referring to the bracelet size.

"of course," the man replied with a smile, "one moment."

i was slightly disturbed by the immensely bright lights this jewelry store had. yasmines smile was wide as the man came back with packets of tennis bracelets. he un did the tiny bag taking out the bracelet. i was impressed with the looks of it. way shinier in person. she raised her arm up and the guy clipped it around her wrist. she smiled and moved her arm up so i could look at it even though i was already was.

"pretty?" she asked me making my lips form into a lipped smile.

" pretty." i agreed.

she turned back to the guy, "ill take this one please."

"alrighty would you like to keep it on or box it up?" he asked her.

"keep it on." she answered politely.

"okay," he responded "please type your email in here."

the guy flipped over a tablet where she typed in her email adding the bracelet to her " list ". she was handed an empty bracelet box that was placed in a pandora bag with pink ribbon.

"alright youre all set," he said smiling at us, "you two have a nice evening."

"okay thank you!" yasmine responded turning to me excitedly. she grabbed my hand and walked us out of the store.

"you like it?" i asked her wanting to see her excited.

she nodded her head rapidly for a few moments. before interlocking our fingers. her warm hand always seemed to calm my nerves. make me feel a certain way.
