Helping a Broken Heart (Mikey x Draken)

(This is probably the second last chapter? There's not gonna be many more after this one ;-;)

Suzuki talked with Mikey for the remainder of the 30 minutes about how he can express himself more and in healthier ways. Mikey nodded and listened to her explain everything. After the 30 minutes were over, Mikey left the office to see Draken waiting for him and smiled at the taller. Mikey went to give Draken a hug as the latter got off his bike to talk to Mikey. Draken hugged back as Mikey spoke up. "I'm really sorry for worrying you Ken-chin. I won't make you upset anymore!" Mikey cried into Drakens torso as he tightened his grip slightly. Draken smiled and kissed the top of Mikey's head. "It's okay Mikey, I'm not worried about you anymore. I know how strong you are, I believe in you Mikey."

Mikey had gotten on the back of Draken's bike and held onto Draken as he drove them to Mikey's house again. Once in his room Mikey flopped on his bed. "Ken-chin. How much did you love Emma?" Mikey asked as he buried his face into his mattress. Draken didn't answer for a while, tears forming in his eyes as he thought of Emma and how she was really gone. "Well I love her a lot. I was going to marry her if she said yes, I wanted to have a child with her when we were older, we- we were going to grow old t- together." Draken said while starting to cry. Mikey looked up at his friend, regretting asking. Mikey moved to the couch where Draken was siting and pulled him into another hug.

Draken cried into Mikey's shoulder as Mikey pat Drakens back trying to soothe him as the boy had done to him before. "I'm sorry Mikey. I don't mean t- to cry on you but I- I miss Emma so much." Draken cried as Mikey shushed him and rubbed his back. Mikey pulled away and looked Draken in the eyes. "Ken-chin, you don't need to apologize. I asked the question and I wanted your response. Did you know how much Emma loved you?" Mikey asked starting to tear up with Draken. "She would ask me everynight what you were doing the next day. Ask where you were at night so she could see you." Mikey continued watching as Draken started crying loudly.

"She really loved me didn't she?" Draken asked once he had calmed down slightly. Mikey nodded with tears in his eyes. "You don't need to worry about me anymore Ken-chin. I'm not going to try taking my life again, it's not fair to you." Mikey said while taking Draken's hands and squeezing slightly. Draken smiled teary eyed as he brought Mikey's hands up to his lips and kissed the tops of his hands. Mikey blushed slightly at the action of his friend. "Thank you for reasuring me Mikey. I'll try and let you be more independ-" Draken started saying as he was cut short. "No! I don't want you to leave me alone." Mikey interupted Draken quickly.

Draken sniffled and chuckled as he nodded. "Okay Mikey, I'll stay by your side forever then. It'll take a lot for you to get rid of me." Draken smiled at Mikey as the smaller held Draken close again. The two held each other for another 5 minutes before Draken pulled away. "How about we rematch in Mario Kart?" Draken smirked challenging Mikey. Mikey returned his smirk and scoffed. "You can't get enough of me kicking your ass or something?" Mikey asked as he got off the couch to grab the controllers for both of them. Draken only smiled as he watched Mikey move, happy that Mikey assured him he wasn't going to try committing again.

The two played Mario Kart until Mikey started yawning causing Draken to turn the game off. "C'mon Ken-chin! I'm not even tired." Mikey said as he yawned again. Draken smiled at Mikey as he picked him up and carried him to his bed tucking him in and heading back to the couch. Draken lied down, listening to Mikey's breathing as he fell asleep. After hearing Mikey start snoring, Draken was okay with getting comfortable to go to sleep himself. That night Mikey had a nightmare as he slept.

He was looking out the window at the night sky. It was raining pretty hard and Mikey was alone at home. He thought about how he hadn't seen his friend in a while and went to call Draken. After not getting any answer from him, Mikey called Takemitchy thinking he would know what was wrong and why Draken wasn't answering his phone. Takemitchy answered the phone and when Mikey asked where Draken was he started crying. "D- Draken... he- he got shot."

Mikey screamed himself awake and scared Draken in the process. Draken immediately stood up and rushed to Mikey's side. "Hey hey, what's wrong Mikey? Did you have a bad dream?" Draken asked while rubbing Mikey's back to calm him down. "K- Ken-chin... you- you were shot." Mikey said as he took a deep shaky breath. Draken sighed and shushed Mikey as he kissed the top of his head. "I'm okay Mikey. I'm not going anywhere."
