"So. Have you and Danny Losso talked recently?" Johnny asked Grace at the lunch table.

"Not really. But his schedule got changed so now he's in my Home Ec." Grace replied.

Su walked up after getting her lunch and slushie.

"Man, the lunch sucks today. A burrito?! Really? Out of all the things they could have picked!" Su ranted.

"Oh my god." I said when I thought of an idea like a light bulb dinging above my head. "I came up with the perfect plan."

"What?" Johnny said.

"You know how we're having a bake sale for the science club?" I said to everyone.

Su and I had been in the science club for a while and we recently convinced Johnny and Grace to join.

"Yeah, what about it?" Grace asked.

"We're setting up a stand during the basketball game tomorrow." I explained. "That would be your perfect chance to get close to Danny."

"Ok, then. But how do you know for sure he's gonna be there?"

"He plays basketball. But he injured his knee in a skateboarding accident over the summer. So for now he's just the water boy."

"And Grace is gonna need lots of water when she sees Danny at the game, eh, Lena!" Johnny joked.

We laughed.

"Shut up!" Grace yelled.

"I can't wait for it." Johnny exclaimed.

"You probably shouldn't come." Su said.

"What?! Why?!"

"'Cause ever since your stunt last week, we don't know what you're gonna pull off anytime soon."

"Come on, you guys!" Johnny scoffed. "Daphne was sort of a one time thing. Besides, as long as you guys are there, I won't get myself into too much trouble."

"Yeah, okay." I said sarcastically.

At the basketball game

"Go Tigers!" Johnny screamed as loud as he could from the bleachers of the gym.

Our team is called the Tasmanian Tigers, even though the Tasmanian Tiger is extinct. I think we use it to honor the animal and the country of Tasmania or something.

Tonight, we're versing the Brighton Barracudas. They may be British, but they are basically our worst enemy. They're snobby and we constantly go at it with them.

"Hey, that was a foul!" Johnny yelled at one of the Brighton players after what looked like him shoving down one of our players.

"Piss off, mate!" A person standing a few rows down from Johnny and I yelled up.

"Hey, maybe you should pick a different team to root for, jackass!" Johnny shouted back.

"Johnny!" I grabbed his arm and dragged him down the bleachers, outside of the gym, and behind the bake sale stand.

"How about you calm yourself by frosting the last cupcakes." I said before giving Johnny a knife and a can of frosting.

"Oy! That was pretty funny, you freaking out on that one lad in the crowd." A British boy said to Johnny. He was pretty cute too. With slightly messy, deep chocolate brown hair, grey/blue eyes, and the slightest amount of biceps that were juuuuuuust right. Too much muscle is simply disgusting.

"Yeah, well, no offense, but your fans, or whatever, are full of rudeness." Johnny said to the British boy.

"Oh, well, wouldn't it be better if you got to know someone before you criticized their people." The British boy chuckled. "Desmond Lane." He stated his name and held his hand out to Johnny.

Johnny hesitantly shook it and responded,

"Johnny Hall."

Desmond grinned and then turned to me.

"And you are?"

I began freaking out on the inside. This guy must be really hot to me because not even Johnny makes me freak out. And Johnny's pretty hot.

"Oh, uhh, Lena. Lena Wright." I finally say.

"Well, Lena Wright, I hope to see you around again sometime." Desmond said before giving me a small smile and, nodding his head to Johnny, and walking off.

"Barracudas.." I said with an entrancing sigh.

"Barracudas." Johnny stated with a tiny groan.
