"Hey, so I was thinking..." Johnny started.
We were walking to Powers when he spoke.
"No, we are not raiding the hipsters' dorms." I cut in.
"One, that's not even what I was gonna say. Two, those hipster chicks are smokin'! We have to do it sometime!"
I sighed.
"Just continue what you were saying." I said.
"Okay, so you know that new girl, Grace?"
"Yes, Johnny, it's only been a few days. I'm pretty sure my memory doesn't completely suck."
"Well, we should take her to Nick's party on Friday. It'd be the perfect time to show her how we do things around here. And she can meet more people."
"Actually, that's a good idea. But make sure to tell Nick. He has to know how many drinks he should get."
Nick is this guy that everybody knows. He's not popular and he's not a loser. He's kind of just there. He's known for throwing party's and wearing cool clothes. He's also pretty attractive. I would date him, but he's not my type.
"Okay." Johnny said as we walked into Powers.
We sat in our seats, which were next to each other, and waited until Mr. Brink spoke.
"Alright, today I'm feeling lazy, so we're just gonna test some powers. Who wants to go first?"
No one said anything.
"How 'bout you? New girl." He pointed at Grace.
Well, damn. I didn't even know she was in this class. She's never raised her hand or anything.
"My name's Grace." She said.
"Yeah, okay, just come up and show us your power. In this class, we work on controlling our abilities and possibly advance them for the future. Now all you have to do is stand in the center up here, and show us what you can do and then the class will clap, or boo, it really depends."
She slowly walked up to the front of the class. When she got to the front, she stood staring at the class for a second before moving her wavy, blonde hair out of her face.
Then, she picked up a letter opener from Mr. Brink's desk.
She turned back to the class. Everything was silent.
All of a sudden... she cut her arm. And it wasn't a paper cut. It was a giant gash.
We sat in shock as the blood slid down her arm and dripped on the floor.
And the skin where she cut her arm, began to close up. The blood disappeared and she looked fine.
"A healing power! How great!" Mr. Brink said.
Grace just glanced around and then went back to her seat.
~~~
After class, Johnny invited Grace to the party and she said yes. All we had to do was get ready.
"Su, does this look okay?" I asked.
"Yep. Does this look okay?" She replied.
"Yeah."
We were changing and doing our makeup for Nick's party.
I was wearing a black high-low dress with black strappy heels, a diamond necklace, dark eyeshadow, and winged eyeliner.
Su was wearing a short, purple, sparkly cocktail dress with matching ankle strap heels and shimmering silver eyeshadow.
Somebody knocked on the dorm door.
"Is everybody decent?" Johnny called. "Not that I would care if you weren't..."
"We're clothed." Su said.
"Awww.." Johnny groaned as he opened the door.
Su hit his arm and he snickered.
"I'm totally kidding." He lied.
"Uh, hey." Grace said as she walked in.
"Oh, yeah. I brought Grace." Johnny said.
She was wearing a one shoulder navy blue-ish dress with black heels and a necklace with a diamond dangling on it. Also, she had a shiny, diamond bracelet. (Dress on the right if you need help imagining what it would look like.)
"You look great." Su said.
"Thanks." Grace responded. "I'm gonna be honest. I've never been to a party. My mom told me I would kiss a boy and die if I did. Or that I would get raped."
"Oh my god!" We all said.
"No, no, no, Grace. It'll be fine. If anything, you should try to kiss a guy, it's pretty awesome. And no one's gonna let you get raped! Geez, your mom is harsh." I said.
"Yeah." Grace smiled. "She's actually a giant bitch."
We all cracked up laughing.
~~~
At the party, Johnny spent a couple hours hitting on girls, Su danced with the hipsters, and I stood at the snack table and drank punch. Grace stood next to me the entire time.
"Why don't you go talk to a guy?" I asked her.
"Oh, god, no. I would probably trip and break my neck or just completely embarrass myself."
"Come on. Oh, look, here comes Danny Losso. One of the hottest guys in this school. Talk to him." I told her.
"No."
He came by us to get a slice of pizza. Damn, he's hot. I would take him, but Grace deserves this.
I slightly pushed her and she bumped into him. His pizza hit his jacket and Grace looked in shock.
"Oh my god! I am so sorry! Let me-" She grabbed a pile of napkins and tried to wipe the pizza stain off his jacket.
"It's okay. It's just a jacket." He assured her. "I can just..."
He began taking off his jacket.
Fuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuck.
Every girl in the room had their jaws dropped. I even saw one girl walk and land head first in a trash can.
"See." He said to Grace.
"Y-y-yeah, yeah. I do." She stuttered.
"Fuck my life." I said as Johnny walked over to see what happened.
"What?" Danny asked.
"I said, uhh, uh- I said... Butt... my life. Johnny's butt is my life." I said stupidly. I had nothing else to say and I come up with that!
"What?" Danny repeated.
"Johnny's butt is my life." Before I could control myself, I slapped Johnny's ass and he jumped. "Yep. I just love it. I mean, so... soo firm."
They stared at me.
"Ooookkaayyyyy..." Danny said before continuing to talk to Grace.
I pulled Johnny away from them.
"What the hell was that?!" Johnny said. "Butt is my life?"
"Shut up! I didn't know what else to say! And it's not like you were complaining! It was your ass I said was my life! And I touched it!"
"Ok, you're right. I wasn't complaining..."
"Ok, let's just go find Su."
