We've been driving for almost 2 hours. He hasn't told me where we're going, all I know is we're going somewhere 'amazing'.

The music in the car is blasting and the wind is blowing through my curls. Grayson is drumming along to the beat on the steering wheel while I sing along.

"Will you please tell me where we're going? I mean I won't judge you if it's like your house. Wait, what if you're a crazy killer that wants to kill me and leave me in the forest?"

His loud barks of laughter fill the car bringing a smile to my face. he continues to laugh until we're both laughing like hyenas. his face turns serious and he turns to me with a gentle smile on his face.

"I would never kill such a beautiful girl, such as yourself."

I smile shyly and he turns to face the road. Usually in the movies the girl would have a smart comeback, but me on the other hand have no clue what to do.

"Yeah good thing I'm pretty or I would be dead. Haha." He starts laughing louder than the last time at my outburst. I whip my head around to look out of the window.

"Awww, Nique. Don't be mad." he continues laughing as I mumble incoherent things.

"Wake up Nique." The person shakes me harder and harder until I slap them and sit up.

My mouth falls to the ground as I see Grayson holding his cheek. I look out of the window to see we are by some small diner far away from the city.

I jump out of the car and he follows me. As I reach the door he wraps his arm around my waist. a smile makes its way onto my face as the door opens with a jingle.

"Hey sweetie pie. What brings ya' by today?" The lady that greets us comes and hugs Grayson . His smile is the biggest I've ever seen it.

"Well Beth. I came here with this lovely girl here to eat." Beth's gaze lands on me and she scrutinizes me very slowly. I cower a little until I remember my promise. 'Show them you're a fighter'.

I pull my head up and look at her straight in the eyes. She puts her hand out and I grab it to shake it. She pulls me into a tight hug and laughs loudly.

She sits us down and looks at us expectantly, waiting for us to order. I look at the menu to see everything that they have.

"Okay I think I would like a Steak and for an appetizer I would like mozzarella sticks. Oh and for a drink I want a Strawberry Lemonade."

I look up at Grayson and he looks shocked. Beth is standing there with a knowing grin on her face. She turns to Grayson and he mumbles that he'll have the same thing.

"Let's play 20 questions!!" I nod my head and he starts thinking of his first question to ask while I think of mine too.

"Why do you carry yourself the way you do? Like nothing can hurt you when you know that's not true."

"Well you're just gonna jump right in right? I carry myself like this because of my mom she hurt me by leaving me so I didn't want to get hurt ever again. I didn't want to face the fact that I would one day love someone so much that they could break my heart in two pieces. So I don't put my wall down for anyone. I can't let anyone in, they can't see. So I decided to be the good girl I always have to be."

"That was sweet and touching but did you just quote Elsa in Frozen?" A smile makes its way onto my face and we laugh.

The food gets here and we eat and talk and laugh the whole time.
