Maze Runner (Thomas x reader)-fem

(4) stung

-TIME SKIP-

"POLES" you yelled as the boys that were in line with you lowered the long sticks they had and pointed them at Ben "MOVE IN" you Yelled again and the boys started to push him into the maze as it started to close. "No, no, no! Please! No, please!" Ben starts to yell pleading to be spared      "I can get better! Please, just listen to me! Please, stop, please!" he continued. "push him in" you said trying to stay strong not looking toward Ben.

When the maze closed you saw Thomas just standing there dumbfounded about what had just happend " he belongs to the maze now" you say to him and he kind of just looks at you and puts his head down "c'mon, you cant stand there forever" you speak again and start to walk off and he catches up and walks next to you.

"do you think he'll make it" Thomas says as he sits down into his hammock, "Ben?" you ask, Thomas just looks at you as an answer, "no one survives a night in the maze" chuck says "you just gotta forget about him" Thomas looks at you and you lower your head.

-TIME SKIP- the next day- 

you and Minho ran into the maze trying to retrace Ben's foots step, following the map he didn't finish making, to see if you could figure out why or how he had been stung during the day.

"why would y/n go into the maze? I mean, she's not a runner." Thomas asked Newt as they were working next to each other, 'Things are different now. y/n went to retrace Ben's footsteps before sundown" he answered  "So she's gonna go back to where Ben was just stung?-" Thomas was cut off by newt "y/n knows what shes doing, Ok. she knows better than anyone.". Thomas was still worried about you getting hurt.

"They should be back by now. What if they don't make it?" Thomas said worried because you and Minho still weren't back "They're gonna make it." Newt said sure that you would, "What happens if they don't?" Thomas asked again "They're gonna make it." Newt said in a stern voice

the boys had gathered around the maze entrance by now, waiting for you and Minho to come back "Come on, guys. can't we send someone after them?" Thomas asked another question, "That's the rules. Either they make it back or they don't. We can't risk losing anyone else." Newt answered. There was a swoosh of wind signalling the doors were about to close and so they boys gave up hope. Thomas looked to the ground already missing y/n and some other boys started turning to walk away.

"There!" chucked shouted spotting you and Minho, everyone turned back to see, "Wait, something's wrong." Thomas said noticing that Minho was caring you on his back. "Come on, Minho, you can do it!" Newt yelled  "Come on! Go! Come on, you can make it!"everyone else started to try motivate him to move faster as the doors to the maze started to shut

"Minho, you gotta leave her!" gally yelled hoping Minho would leave you, "NO, HES NOT LEAVING HER!" newt yelled at gally with a mix of anger and sadness in his voice. "They're not gonna make it." Thomas said thinking about what he could do to help, "You gotta leave her!" gally yelled out once again.

Newt was about to yell at gally again when he noticed Thomas running into the maze with just a few seconds till it was fully closed "Thomas, no!" Newt yelled to him while reaching for his arm to stop him.

Thomas made it into the maze before it closed and looked at Minho who was sitting down out of breath "good job.., you just killed yourself" he puffed out. "What happened to her?" Thomas asked bobbing down next to your unconscious body, "what does it look like? she got stung." he replied bluntly, "What happened to her head?" Thomas asked another question.

"i did what i had to do." Minho said sitting in  the same position  "help me get her up." Thomas says picking you up as Minho slowly stands up and starts to walk away, "We gotta go. The maze is changing." is all Minho says, ignoring Thomas "Hey, Minho! we can't just leave her here". Minho stops walking in his tracks and slowly turns to look at Thomas.

Thomas and Minho weekly pickup and carry Y/n down the corridors of the dimly lit maze and stop for a break  "this isn't going to work we gotta go." Minho says panicked  "Wait, what are you talking about? we gotta do something. We gotta hide her." Thomas replies  "Where?" Minho replies quickly asking Thomas of all the possible hiding places there could be.

"I don't know. Minho, just think. You're telling me there's not a single place we can take her?" Thomas asks, Minho just grunt angrily and full of rage lunges towards the sitting down Thomas grabbing the collar of his shirt "Listen to me, shuck-face, all right? Take a look around. There's nowhere to go!" Minho says angry but quietly. letting go of Thomas Minho takes a step back "you don't get it. We're already dead"

Thomas doesn't reply but stands up walking toward Minho and pushing him to the side to get past, staring at the vine covered wall and just looks back toward Minho.
