Have you ever had so much to say, and yet nothing comes out? As soon as you would put pen to paper, the thought would just disappear. Or you are great at coming up with really great stories, that have a beginning, middle and end, but for some reason when you want to write it down so you can share it with people, it doesn’t come out the right way or it just disappears. Have you ever wanted to write stories and for some reason you don’t write it down because you think it’s not good, or you think people would judge you for writing those things. I do, I have a fear to all of that, they call it writer block.

I love writing, poems and stories, and short stories it’s my life. I love it as much as my art. Both are very important to me. Sometimes it’s hard for me to write something down, I love computers because I can write anything I want and change it places to see where it would fit better together; every time I go to write with my laptop nothing comes out. When I write on paper poems flow a little better only when I am in the mood to write. Stories however, neither come out on paper nor on laptop.

Stories are not hard to come into my head, sometimes ill be in bed dreaming about an awesome story and then when I go to write it, it is either gone or I can’t seem to write it well enough on paper; the words do place themselves right in a sentence. I still write poems though, for some reason those are the ones that seem to come out better then stories. Perhaps it is because I like short things, and poems are best to describe feelings. I am curious to take a creative writing course that is sure to bring some new and better ideas in my head.

Sometimes I write random things and when I go back to it I add more things to it. The best is when you go back to something you wrote 5 years ago, and you re-read it and go wow, my style of writing changed a lot. It’s incredible.

I don’t know what it is that causes writers block, I do wish that it didn’t exists. The worst is when you have to write a paper for class, but you are not inspired to write it; so you end up writing something you don’t really like but you hand it in anyways. Sometimes I feel like I want to write all day long, when you get comfortable nothing is there in your mind.

I do think that the fact that we get writers block is perhaps because we spend to much time watching movies and TV programs; things that are to stimulating for the eyes. When we go to write our brains send out information saying not enough stimulation; we get too bored too quickly. A solution for this problem might be to write a little every day.
