Jimin's little sister above^^ (Just a random pic I found online)
Author's POV:
Jimin got more and more nervous as he approached the office, wondering if he did something wrong to get himself into trouble.
I mean, I cheated on that math test! Did someone see me and rat me out? Or when I accidentally spilled paint all over a poster that someone made and then made a run for it? Was I caught? He wondered. He sighed as he opened the door, ready to get scolded for whatever he did, but gasped when he saw his parents.
"Mom? Dad? What are you guys doing here?" He asked, pushing his worries aside and walked up to the two. His mother smiled. "Well, your little sister got sent home early from school today. She apparently has the flu, and we need someone to watch her while we go off to work." She explained. Jimin sighed. "Do I have to?" He whined slightly, really not wanting to miss out on anymore art class than he already has. Can't the just hire a babysitter? Why me?
"Now be nice. It's only for one day, you'll be fine. And~" She paused with a sly smile. "If you go and watch her and take care of her, we'll get you that new sketchbook you've been bugging us about getting." She bribed. Jimin's eyes got big and he gasped.
"The one with the lock on the front that comes with a key?!" Jimin squealed. "That one?!" He asked, jumping up and down like a school girl seeing her crush. His father nodded. Jimin was about to squeal again, but noticed everyone in the office staring at him. He stopped abruptly, heat rising up his cheeks in embarrassment. "I-I mean... yeah. C-cool." I said softly. His parents chuckled, and his father said, "Well we already checked you out for the rest of the day, so lets get home before your sister throws a fit." Jimin sighed and nodded. They left the school and got in the car, driving off.
Jimin's POV:
The entire time I was thinking of how I would be dreading the next few hours. My sister is always whining about everything. If she gets even the smallest scratch or something from falling, she throws a huge tantrum, crying and screaming at the top of her lungs, pushing things off of tables and tipping over chairs. Sometimes I wonder why my parents decided to keep her. She like the- no she is the Tasmanian devil! She's a little monster. She's also the biggest snitch ever! You can't tell her anything! The second she hears it, she runs over to our parents and tattles to them. And now I have to babysit the brat. But I guess it's worth it if I get that new sketch book that I've been wanting for months. I like that one because I tend to draw... dirty things that I want no one seeing. So the lock and key is perfect!
Anyway, we made it home, and I grabbed my bag and got out, my parents staying behind. My parents work at a an office, designing different kinds of websites for some random company I don't pay much attention too. It's boring, so I don't really care much.
"Remember, Ae-Cha likes to eat mint chocolate ice cream with sprinkles when she's sick. And make sure she takes her medicine. It's on the counter next to the fridge. One little cup at 7:30. Don't forget!" My mom reminded me. I groaned, but nodded. That new sketchbook is on the line! "Got it." I said. "Love you, bye." I said and walked towards the house.
"Jimin!" I turned when I heard my dad call my name. "Make sure you are nice to your sister!" He called. I grumbled and nodded, going into the house as my parents drove off. "Why can't they stay home? They just don't want to deal with the Tasmanian devil." I complained. I set my bag on a chair in the dining room. I heard my stomach growl, begging for food. I didn't get to eat lunch before my parents picked me up. And I usually do not have time to eat breakfast most days. I went to the fridge and opened it, scanning the options for todays snack. I reached in, settling for some ice cream mochi, my favorite. I like the cherry ones, but I love the strawberry ones more.
