"It's been so long."
"It's been two months since you've seen him." I say dryly, uncurling from Kakashi's arm to lean up on my elbows on the bed.
"Two months is a long time for a kid, has he grown much?" Kakashi sighs, his arm coming up to twirl a piece of my hair.
"Well, his speech has certainly improved. And he could probably be dubbed a little prodigy. He has been learning his hand signs flawlessly, and he can stick a Leaf anywhere on his body and hold it for three minutes," I nod thoughtfully, "I guess you're right. They do learn fast. Well, I better go meet Jiraiya and Naruto. Jiraiya wants to bring him back within the next month and a half but he hasn't decided yet. I'd sat they won't be to far north, so I should be back by tomorrow noon.
"As long as you don't run into any trouble." Worry lines crease on Kakashi's bare face. "Are you sure you don't want me to go with you?"
I feather my fingers over his cheek, my thumb rubbing the wrinkles from his forehead and between his eyes.
"Don't worry about me, I'm sure I will be alright. I won't be close to any border to run into passer-throughs." With that said I sit up to my knees stretching my arms above my head. I smirk catching his wandering gaze over the skimpy tank top that covered my midsection, "My face is up here."
Kakashi growls and in a blur of motion my hands are pinned above my head, his body trapping mine to the bed, his lips encapturing mine in an extremely heated kiss.
Only after I completely lost my breath did he pull away, smirking- not looking fazed at all, his gaze intense as he stared me down, "If you had to go anywhere else other then to get our son, I would keep you longer."
"I believe you." I gasp.
"Good. We should probably get ready, Tsunade expected me an hour ago." He lowers his head for one more meaningful kiss, "I love you."
I smile, "I love you too."
---
I guess he's further out then expected.
I should probably send a hawk back to Kakashi, but I think I'll wait another hour. No point in worrying him.
Then I froze, stopping to kneel on the tree branch. How could I be so careless? I've been followed, but by who? I didn't recognize either of the two chakra sigs, but they are closing in rapidly. Run or stay? If I run they could give chase then I'll know they are following me, if I stay I will find out who 'they' are but what if they are strong? Who knows how many coutless enemies I have made over the years, it could be anyone by now.
"Well, well look here."
Too late now.
"If it isn't the daughter of my old teammate. It's been awhile little Senna." Orochimaru smiles widely,
I frown, it's been so long I didn't even recognize his chakra.
"Yes. It has. What do you want Orochimaru?" I waste no time, I didn't really want to get into a fight with a Sanin at the moment, especially one I used to call uncle.
"Oh my, you wound me, my dear little Senna. Is that really how you treat family? So rude." Orochimaru pouts.
"No." I smirk, "That's how I treat traitorous scum." I glance over my shoulder, raising a brow at the sneak attempt of a young white haired shinobi, Kabuto Yakushi.
"You're pathetic." I frown turning back to Orochimaru "And I won't ask you again."
"My my aren't you perceptive." Kabuto smirks, falling in line next to Orochimaru.
