The Brightest Star

Chapter 4

When we last left off, Asta was about to choose which squad he would join. Now without further ado, let's start chapter 4, shall we.

"I choose. the Crimson Lion Kings!" At his choice, some people gasped in shock that he didn't choose The Golden Dawn. Some even called him an idiot for choosing otherwise. Despite these claims, Asta stuck with choice. He honestly could care less about the opinions of others because of his Pride in not only his abilities but himself. He also respected fuegoleon for his control over the fire element. After everyone had either chosen their squads or been rejected by all captains, every participant left either with broken dreams, or along side their new captains. Asta made his way outside where he would be greeted by Captain Fuegoleon and two of his newest squad mates one of them being the captain's brother Leopold Vermillion.

"So, you must be the new recruit I've heard so much about. You look a little large to be a teenager. But nonetheless you are very powerful and that is something I can respect about you." Leopold said. Asta nodded, giving a silent thank you to Leo as they started to make their way to the headquarters of the Crimson Lion Kings. When they arrived, It was almost 12 o'clock. Asta could only look on in astonishment. Though the building wasn't as large as the ones he's seen in his previous life, in this time it was one of the biggest ones he had ever seen. When they walked in, there was a small group awaiting their arrival. This group including man and women of different backgrounds from royals to nobles and even a few commoners. However the one person that caught Asta's eye in particular.

All the members within the group started to introduce themselves one by one until it was the girls turn. She looked to be around Asta's age. Though you wouldn't be able to tell seeing as how Asta is so tall, he is at least a head over the captain, who had a reputation for being the tallest of the magic knight captains. "Hiyya my name's Mereoleona. Fuegoleon is my elder brother." the girl now known as Mereoleona said. At her introduction, Asta had a slight glint in his eyes that didn't go unnoticed by Fuegoleon. In his head he was thinking up so many ways to make the oh so prideful Asta very nervous. He shared a look with Leopold and from the looks of it, he had a similar thought. they both shared a grin. "Uh... I-I'm Asta." he awkwardly said. "Nice to meet you Asta. You must be really strong in order for elder brother to raise his hand for you."

At this, an arrogant noble chuckled in the background. Everyone turned to see a man with shaggy red hair leaning against a pillar. "Oh please. He's nothing more than a filthy commoner. His power doesn't come near to us nobles. At this remark, Asta let his pride get the better of him. "Tell me sir, what is your name?" Asta asked, trying not to wipe the cocky noble of the face of the Earth. "I am Aliester Kane of the Kane family." the man said in a cocky tone. "Very well Sir Aliestar. Would you like to test my power for yourself?" "I would be more than happy to put you in your place you filthy commoner." At this point Asta was seething with anger. Aliestar started to make his way to the sparring room until he was stopped by Fuegoleon. "For this match, we will be going into the woods seeing as how the sparring rooms would end up being destroyed in this match." Aliestar wondered why but listened to his captain and road his broom into the forest. everyone from the group followed except for Asta. Aliestar started to think Asta got scared and ran off until the moment he looked behind him in which he saw Asta flying with wings. It was such a shock that he almost lost control over his mana which would've caused him to fall off thought Alietar was proficient in putting on a front.

Once they arrived at the forest they quickly began the match. Aliestar wasted little time in attack Asta with a Flame magic: Flame Barrage. Asta just stood their and took the hit head on. "If this is all you have, you're even more pathetic than I thought. What a weakling." He said. As the smoke cleared Asta could be seen unfazed by the attack. Before anyone could speak, Asta's body began to change once more for the second time that day. However the only difference was the fact that his muscles were more defined rather than bulky. He was surrounded by black flames. Fuegoleon made a mental note to question Asta about how this form was different from the form he took during his fight with him. Aliestar blink and when he opened his eyes Asta was nowhere to be found. He then felt a chill go down his spine as he slowly turned around, coming face to face with Asta. Aleistar was about to open his grimoire when Asta delivered a right hook to the jaw of Aliestar sending him through multiple trees. Asta raced after him eventually getting behind him when he blew black flames from his mouth giving Aliestar multiple 2nd and 3rd degree burns all over his body. 

"So this is why captain told us to fight in the forest. His power is too great. It possibly exceeds the Captain's magic." These were Aliestars final thoughts as he embraced unconsciousness. All squad members that were present could only stare in awe at the magic and shear strength they just witnessed. However there was one person who was beyond astonished with the power of Asta. This was Mereoleona. She saw just how powerful Asta was firsthand and comparing it to when her brother went all out, she could tell he has long since surpassed her brother. She was currently staring at asta with the same glint in her eyes that he previously had. Just like with Asta, both Fuegoleon and Leo noticed and simply grinned. 

Their fight lasted a minute and once it was over, Asta shrunk down to his original size and healed the wounds of Aliestar. Him not having a shirt on made the women blush and some of the men become jealous of what they thought to be the perfect body. It was during this moment that Fuegoleon and Leo noticed the two birthmarks of Asta on his shoulders and were able to see that one was in the shape of a Lion and was red in color while the other was in the shape of a Panther and was a blackish purple shade of color. Once again, Asta had impressed his Captain, along with others as well.

And... CUT!!!! That's a wrap folks. Thank you to the few people for their support in me making this story.For this I have decided to reward you. I was thinking of giving Fuegoleon the Flame spirit, which I still am. However that doesn't mean that Asta cant have one. So, with that being said, i will leave it up to you. Would you all like for me to give Asta a spirit for his black flames that you all would help me create/design or would you all rather I continue the story the way it has been going. {Note: If I do give him one, it will most likely be towards the end of the eye of the midnight sun arc}
