(Amon's Point of View)

"I'm telling you he did!"

Amon shakes his head as Violet continues to ramble on. She is telling him some ridiculous story about how Julian tortured her with his magic and then threatened her. There's no way he would do that.

"I know Julian and I know he would never do that to you."

Violet grabs his arm and turns him to look at her, "You've seen how he is recently. He hates me now, I didn't even do anything to him. That witch is turning him evil and none of you can see it!"

Amon gently detaches his arm from her grip, "Violet. Just because this is a little intense for you does not mean we are going evil. Julian is just passionate about his work, that's all."

"I don't think all magic is evil," Violet states quietly. She looks around the food market, making sure that no one can hear her before continuing. "I met this person."

"Oh?" Amon finally gives her his full attention. "Someone like Raysa?"

Violet tilts her head toward a little fruit stand in the corner of the market. Luckily for her, the market is pretty empty today. That, or everyone is staying away from Amon, worried about his newfound friends. She does a second check around to make sure no one is watching, before holding out her hand and watching as a little daisy blooms out from her palm.

Amon gasps. "Where did you learn to do that?"

"I told you, I met someone."

"Yes, I know," he deadpans. "Who?"

Violet sighs, "Someone that Raysa is not fond of. Look, he used to know her. They were the only two people that could do magic. Difference is, he used his magic to help people and she used her magic to attack people. He is showing me how to do good magic."

"Who is he?" Amon raises an eyebrow at her.

She shakes her head, "I can't tell you that." He goes to get a word in but she doesn't let him, "Not until you have left your current alliance."

Amon rolls his shoulders back as he moves away from her. He knows that he owes Raysa a lot. She gave him a place to live, she showed him how to stand up for himself. She also caused Merigold to leave him. Though, if he's being honest with himself, Merigold left him because of his crappy decisions.

He rubs the back of his neck as he glares down at her, "We do use our magic for good. You just refuse to see it."

"What have you done since she showed you all of this? What has Julian and Liza done since all this started? I know you guys are more confident now and that's great but come on! You've seen how they've changed, and it's not for the better."

This reminds him of all of his conversations with Merigold. Trying to convince someone to see the same as you do is hard, especially when they have grown up with all of these preconceived notions about magic. He reminds himself of how far he has come, with his team and on his own. He started all of this alone.

Amon shakes his head as he starts to move away from her, "Look. I can keep your secret, but I think you're lying to me about Julian. I also know you're lying to me about Raysa. I don't know who your mentor is but you better tell him to be prepared. We are a force to be reckoned with. Violet, think about who's side you want to be on."

He leaves her standing alone in the market.

Amon makes his way through the castle grounds, still turning over everything that Violet said to him. There is no way that Julian would do that to her...
