(Amon's Point of View)

Amon led the way to Eleazar's little cabin in the woods as Julian and Violet followed. His cabin was surrounded by a protection shield that made it hard to find. Eleazar placed it there so that no one could track him, and so that no one can enter your mind while you're in there. It was pretty impressive.

Amon turned to see Violet giggling beside him as she apparently had left Julian behind. "Hurry up slowpoke," Violet called out to him. "We're going to be late."

"We wouldn't have been late if you hadn't taken three wrong turns back there," Julian shot back as he ran to catch up.

"How do you know I took three wrong turns?" Violet says. "You don't know the way there."

Julian scoffs. "I know you took three wrong turns 'cause you swore and turned back around three times."

"Rude! My vocabulary has nothing to do with my sense of direction." Violet gave Julian a light shove to his left shoulder and he grabbed her arm to make sure that if he went down, so did she.

Amon chimes in, "How did you guys even take three wrong turns? I've been leading this whole time!" To be fair, he had been quite a bit ahead of them for a while. Amon was just excited to get to the cabin. He finally felt like he was using his magic for good, instead of just making excuses for what he was actually using his magic for at Raysa's.

"You're a twit," Julian said laughing as he grabbed a tree to keep them both upright. Abruptly Julian stopped laughing and sighed. Amon watched as his smile faded and his cheeks turned red. "Vi, I need to apologize again."

Violet shook her head, "You've already said you're sorry. It's fine."

"It's not fine." Julian looked down at her and frowned.

All she did in reply was smile and say, "You can make it up to me in thumbprint cookies."

Amon protested, "Yeah, where's my apology? You guys have your cute little moment and I get no appreciation."

Julian reached toward him to grab at his cheeks and pull, like what his grandparents used to do when he was little. "You are so right, Amon. We need more Amon appreciation. Let's have an 'everybody loves Amon' day. What do you think, Vi?"

Amon smacked Julian's hands away as Violet answered him, "We could have it on Tuesdays."

"You guys are hilarious," Amon said as he shook his head. "Are you guys sure about this?" He was referring to what they were planning to do once they got to Eleazar's cabin.

After the fight, they had all stayed behind to discuss everything that had happened. Julian had profusely apologized to Violet, something must have happened there that Amon didn't know about. He guessed it wasn't his business, anyways. Eleazar had offered them a solution. He had said that Julian and Violet could tie their spirits together. It took Amon awhile to understand it, but he ended up comparing it to how you reached out for other people like you would using mental magic. Instead of Julian having to reach out for Violet's spirit every time, he would just always vaguely be able to feel her and vise versa. This way they could track each other, feel if the other person is hurt, and better help heal each other. Eventually, once they had been tied to each other long enough, they would be able to communicate through their minds. There were apparently a lot of benefits to tying yourself to someone.

The only thing that made Amon a little weary about this was Liza. How was it going to look to Liza if Julian and Violet tied each other together. It would seem like Julian had picked Violet over Liza again, and that was definitely not going to help anything. Amon just wanted to make sure that his friends were making the right decision.
