(Julian's Point of View)
These past couple of weeks have gone by fast. Raysa has introduced them to the magic that they had no idea they even possessed. She also introduced them to her right hand, Nathaniel Tygon. Nathaniel immediately took an interest in Julian. He has been asking him to stay after training for some private sessions. Whereas Raysa has been teaching them the magic aspect, Nathaniel has been training him how to fight without the magic.
So far, no one other than their friend group and Merigold's parents know about them joining Raysa Brekker. He wished Amon didn't tell Merigold but it is too late now. His parents are not religious people so he is not as worried about them finding out, he is worried about Liza's father finding out. He has only ever had about two conversations with the man, but her father gives off a very uncomfortable feeling.
Julian liked it here, he just wants everything to stay this way.
Right now, they are in training with Raysa. She was teaching them how to connect to the magic around them. It was simple, really. How she explained it made sense to him. She told them that everything was surrounded by its own magic, whether this be people, objects, or the elements. Once you connect to that magic, you could warp it and change it to your liking. Magic is like a power source, and once you connect to this power source you are always connected.
Raysa showed them how to connect to themselves. This means that Julian can create anything just by thinking about it. The opportunities are endless. There are books on different ways to tap into power sources and different things that you can make using your magic. The whole thing is insane.
If Julian had to describe it, it would be like pulling at strings. He feels like the master puppeteer. Everything is attached to strings, and he can pull at these strings to make them do what he wants. It is powerful.
It took them a while to get used to everything. The first couple sessions with Raysa were rough. They either couldn't connect to anything or it would be such a small reaction that it made them look bad.
Their second session here, Raysa was trying to show them how to connect to their own physical power. Julian was able to feel the magic running through him but he could not do anything with it. Raysa tried to get him to light his fingers on fire, like she did the first time she met him, but it only backfired. He felt like he blew a fuse as he jolted into the air by a couple feet. Once he landed on his backside, he rolled over with a massive headache. Liza had run over to him and gasped upon seeing him.
"Your eyes," Liza had said to him. Raysa laughed as Amon ran to get him a mirror. Oddly enough, whatever had happened had turned his eyes a light shade of lavender. They never went back to their original brown.
Julian was pulled out of his thoughts by Raysa asking him to demonstrate. Unfortunately, he had not been listening. She raised an eyebrow at him as he stuttered.
"What exactly is it that you wanted me to demonstrate?"
She slightly smirked at him, knowing that she had caught him. "I asked you to show the class how to mold something."
Julian looks awkwardly around him, "What did you want me to mold?"
"Pick something."
The whole class stared at him, waiting for him to do something. He did not want to just stand here while they watched him. Frantically, he looked around for something to use, finally landing on a pile of rocks near one of the other girls.
Julian was able to easily lift one of the rocks from its position in the pile, not moving his hands whatsoever, and shape it into a small ring. He forced a hole into the middle of the rock and the rest of the rock adjusted to mold itself smoothly. He levitated it to himself before catching it in his hand.
