A/N: tw for self harm, grief, death, and self depreciating thoughts

I'm sorry... almost >;)

~~

The dorm room was desolate. The funeral had been cut short because the power went off. It was hours later and no one knew what happened. It wasn’t Kaminari because everyone would be severely injured. Is Kaminari’s range even that big? So far no one knows the full range of the power outage.

Even UA’s backup, backup generator was down. They don’t know when the power would go back on; For the foreseeable future Japan’s power was down.

Everyone was outside, the nice weather doing nothing to the mood. It was Sunny. Not a cloud in the sky. Midoriya would love this weather.

Koda was whispering to the animals quietly. He thought that if he gathered enough fuzzy animals for the class they would feel better. It was a nice thought.

Jirou and Tokoyami had arranged a playlist with all of his favorite songs. The bright music was a stark contrast to the mood.

Momo was quietly braiding little Eri’s hair. Mic-Sensei had brought her down, so she could be with people familiar. She wouldn’t let go of Mirio. She thought that if she didn’t let the people she loved the most out of her sight, they wouldn’t die. She thinks she might be cursed again. She thinks this because everyone she has ever loved has died or abandoned her.

Aizawa-Sensei never let his kids--students-- His students wander far from his eyes. Midoriya reminded him of someone he was still mourning. He was almost the same age. Only a year difference. He had broken his promise to himself he made when he first started teaching. He failed his students, himself, and most importantly, Midoriya. Gods the kid even smiled like him. He had the same messy hair and big eyes that made Aizawa know that he was going to be a problem child. His smile always lit up everyone around him. The smile that no one was ever going to see in person again.

Bakugo was sifting through Izuku’s things. He felt that it wasn’t right to call him Deku. Even though the nerd had changed the meaning of the childhood nickname. The original meaning was horrible.

Before the funeral Bakugo was asked by Izuku’s mom to go through Izuku’s things so she could put them in storage. Inko had tried but couldn’t bear it. She is currently with All Might right now. He hadn’t even gotten to notebook 12 before he broke down. Bakugo remembered the day the notebook became burned and water damaged. He regrets the moment now. He had found a key in notebook #13, and wondered what it unlocked. Eh, probably a box of limited edition All Might merch. He thought about what he could do with the analysis notebooks; There was a lot of valuable information in them. He should probably give them to Nedzu so he could deem what was necessary.

He had gotten through a good amount of things in 2 hours. Nerd had a shit ton of things. He had slightly outgrown his All Might fanboyness, and there were significantly less All Might things. It was now time to pull out the things under Izuku’s bed. Bakugo doesn’t think that he will find anything weird under there because Dek-Izuku- he breathed in a sharp breath- Izuku kept his room clean.

Bakugo looked under the bed. There were a lot of boxes under there. He sighed. He didn’t know how much more he could take of this. There was a thin line of dust on the boxes. Weird. They hadn’t even been in the dorms for a month.

The first box had a box full of polaroid pictures of their childhood, most likely taken by his mother. There were also a lot of photos from this year. A lot of smiling photos and a lot of peace signs. The other boxes had miscellaneous items in it that might have had some sort of significance to Izuku.

He pulled the last box out. It looked a little misshapen, most likely because it was shoved under there, hoping to be lost for a long time. Bakugo was wary. The box wasn’t like other boxes. It was metal and had a lock on it-- wait. A lock. Bakugo had found a key in notebook #13 a couple hours ago. Where is it?-- He shuffled a few things around and after a few minutes he found the key. Please don’t have weird shit in it Please don’t have weird shit in it Please don’t have weird shit in-- he inserted the key and twisted.

The box opened with ease and a metallic smell to the air came out. It was musty and there were stacks of letters in it. Each one addressed to a different person. The first one was to Inko. The second one was to All Might. As he lifted each name, Iida, Uraraka, Shoto-Wait, why the fuck was this one addressed to Shoto? Oh, who gives a shit. Nerd had a crush-Tsuyu, Kirishima, Momo, Etc. Each one to a different classmate. One was addressed to Kota, another to Eri, One for each of his teachers- oh, no. There was one letter left. “Katsuki”. Izuku never called him anything other than Kacchan. This must be serious. Before he reads the letter he needs to figure out where the metallic smell- no no no no no no nonono nonononononononononononono- blades. There were old metal blades that had obviously not been used for a while. They were clean, but there was a sort of smell of blood, as if it had been used often. There was a note. On top. To: Me, “If you’re reading this right now. Don’t do it. It's not worth it to try. You’ve got friends now, a quirk, and people who are like fathers to you. So many people love you. Don’t do it. Don’t do it because Eri and Kota look up to you.” signed Izuku. That’s it what did the shitty nerd write to me, I really need to hear it right now before fucking lose it.

Katsuki ripped open the letter. He read the first three words. And he broke.

Kirishima was sitting at the dining room table. It had gotten dark outside. The funeral had been hours ago, and the power had finally turned back on. Kota had stayed back to be with Eri, because according to his aunt he needed someone around his age right now.

Bakugo finally came out of Midoriya’s room, Snot nosed and holding letters. He had been up there for at least 6 hours. No one had the heart to bother him and no one wanted to face his anger. Bakugo slowly started handing the letters he was holding out.

As people started opening letters, and Bakugo was headed to the couch to sit down, alarms went off, blaring to people nearby.

“Everyone, this is an emergency warning. A SS rank villain has escaped Tarturus. Engage lockdown mode now.” Nedzu’s voice came out.

All for One had escaped.
