The One I Knew (Luchino x Melly Fanfic)

Epilogue

 A few weeks after the trip, a funeral was held for Melly Diruse, and a few others. Jose and his boys were arrested. As for Murro and Kurt, they are still working as tour guides. Some groups still visit the jungle, not very often. When they do, Murro and Kurt make sure they don't go into Luchino's territory. Kurt and Murro do bring supplies and other items for the couple. As for Luchino and Melly, the two are still doing well.

Near a cave was a clearing. In the clearing is Melly who is holding a beautiful butterfly. Sitting near Melly is a small child. The child has shoulder-length orange hair, pale skin with some tints of green on her cheeks, hands, and knees. The areas with tints of green have a few green scales. The child also has yellow scleras with blue eyes. She's wearing a sleeveless pink dress that goes to her knees. The child definitely has lizard features.

"Mama, bug pretty!" The child said with a smile.

"The butterfly is very pretty. " Melly said to her daughter. Her daughter's tongue sticks out from her mouth and it's lizard-like.

"Where is Papa?" Her daughter asked.

"He'll be home soon, sweetie." Melly said to her daughter. A child walks out of the cave and walks over to Melly. This child is a boy and has lizard features just like his little sister. Melly's son is a few years older.

"Mama, I made a new friend." Her son says and is holding a small lizard. The lizard sticks its tongue out and her son does the same, showing his lizard tongue.

"Aw." Melly was awed at her son. Her children are definitely a blessing. She and her husband weren't sure if having children was a possibility. Melly is happy being a mother.

Soon footsteps got closer to the clearing. It was Luchino. Luchino has his hair shoulder-length in a braid, wearing a white collar shirt with a few loose buttons and brown pants. He's holding a basket of fruits. He sets the basket down. The children run over to their father.

"Papa!" His daughter said cheerfully.

"I missed you, Papa." His son said. The two hugged their father and then quickly went into the cave. Melly gets up and walks over to her husband. The two look lovingly at each other. Her husband sits on his knees, so he is close to eye level with his wife.

"I'm glad I'm here with you, honey." Melly said to her husband.

"I'm so glad to have such a loving wife." Luchino said. Melly gives him a quick kiss and then gets up. She walks inside the cave. Luchino grabs the basket of fruit and gets up. He walks inside and enjoys the rest of the day with his little family.
