Chapter 8

"No, what happened?" Aiden asks.

My mind starts to analyse the scenario, a shock of panic roars through my body.

God, please not again!

"She's not here, I checked everywhere" I say.

Everyone is now tensed. I also notice that Jayden is coming from his room.

"What happened, guys?" He asks.

"Mona is missing." Ethan says.

His eyes widen, and suddenly they reflect guilt.

"Where she would be?".

"Have you checked mom and dad's room?" Samuel asks and I shake my head, already heading toward mom and dad's room.

Please, let her be there.

As I enter, I see her talking with mom. Relief fills me.

Thank god!

I go and hug her.

Jaxon's pov.

I see that Jayden has big guilty face, his eyes already shining with tears, as everyone is going and hugging her.

"We thought you were gone." Monday says and Mona smiles. Her one smile makes my heart skip a beat. If that can happen.

"Where will I go? I was just talking with mom." She says.

I go and hug her tight.

"Talk to Jayden, he's a mess" I whisper in her ear. When I break the hug, she nods at me.

I pat her head lovingly.

I glance at Jayden, who now leaving the room, his head down.

Maybe he is going toward his room.

I nod at Mona.

"Will you show me his room?" Mona asks standing up. I nod and we move out.

"What were you both talking about?" I hear someone ask to mom. 

I show her, his room. She gives me her beautiful smile, which makes my breath hitch.

"That you" she says and I nod, walking away, giving them privacy.

Hope everything will be ok soon.

Mona's pov

As I go to my parents room. I knock.

"Come in" I hear mom say. I quietly open the door, to see she is sitting on the couch. I go and sit on her lap, hugging her.

Mommy's hugs are the best.

"What happened, baby?" She asks.

"I'm confused" I say keeping one finger on my chin.
