Night Out Gone Wrong

1 week later, Evie and Benson are now separated and Evie has moved back into her family household, while Benson stayed at the mansion that he and Evie lived together. Evie received the divorce papers a week ago, but still hasn't sign it, same for Benson. 

One night, Evie is in her room, when Desiree. "Hey, Evie.", Desiree replied. "Hey, Dez.", Evie sighed. "You ok?", Desiree asked. "No, I still haven't sign the papers yet.", Evie sighed. "Eve, come on. It's been a week since you guys split up. You just sign your signature and you're officially a free woman.", Desiree replied. 

"It's not easy, Dez! I need time.", Evie cried. "Ok, jeez! Take all the time you need.", Desiree replied. Evie notice Desiree is wearing a gold sequin mini dress. "Where are you going?", Evie asked. "To the nightclub with some friends. You should come and join us.", Desiree smiled. 

"No thanks, I rather stay home.", Evie sighed. "Evie, you should go out and have fun, not stay at home and be sad.", Desiree replied. "I'm not in a mood.", Evie sighed. Then Rebecca, who wears a  silver sequin mini dress comes in. "Well, I am and I rather go with my bestie.", Rebecca replied. 

"Rebecca, what are you doing here?", Evie asked. "Desiree invited me to a night-out with her friends and of course I can't say no.", Rebecca smiled. "Still, I'm not going.", Evie replied. "Come on, Evie. You gotta go out for once in your life. You deserve a night-out.", Rebecca cried. 

Evie looks at them and sighs. "Fine, but just this once, for you guys only.", Evie replied. "Yes!", Desiree cried, and picks out a dress for Evie from her closet. "Here, put this on!", Desiree cried, giving her the dress, shoes and accessories. Evie then gets herself ready, by going her hair and make up, and putting on the whole outfit. 

"Evie, you're ready?!", Desiree asked. Evie comes out and they see her, wearing an emerald green sequin mini dress with black heels and silver accessories. "Wow, you are ready for a single lady's night out!", Desiree cried, and they all leave the house and head to the nightclub. 

Upon their arrival, they meet Desiree's friends from college and they began to take shots and a few drinks. Evie, who is still hurt about Benson, takes more than she ever drinks. Desiree and Rebecca tries to slow her down, but Evie keeps taking more shots. "Ok, I think you have enough.", Desiree replied. 

"I want more!", Evie yells. "Ok, no more drinks tonight.", Rebecca replied. "I want more!", Evie cried, as she goes to the bar to get some more drinks, leaving Desiree and Rebecca worried. At the bar, a young good-looking guy sees Evie and approaches to her. "Hey, let me buy you a drink.", he smiled. "Ok, sure.", Evie replied. 

The guy buys her a beer and another for himself and give one to Evie. "Cheers.", he replied. "Cheers.", Evie sighed, clinking the beer bottle to his and drinks it. Unknowing to her, Benson is there too and saw Evie with the guy. "I'm Theo.", he greeted. "Evie.", Evie smiled. "You're cute.", Theo smiled. "Thanks.", Evie smiled, as she suddenly falls off her seat, but Theo catches her. 

"Whoa! You ok?", Theo asked. "Yeah, just need to lay down.", Evie sighed. "Come on, I'll take you home.", Theo replied. "Ok, but I have to say goodbye to my sister and my friend first.", Evie replied. "Ok, go ahead.", Theo replied. "Hey guys, I'm going to head home.", Evie replied. 

"Ok, I'll come with you.", Desiree replied. "No, it's fine. I'll just get a cab home.", Evie sighed. "You sure?", Desiree asked. "Yes I'm sure. I'll be fine.", Evie smiled. "Ok, but text me when you're home ok?", Desiree asked. "Ok, bye.", Evie replied, as she leaves the nightclub with Theo. Benson sees them leaving and goes after them, noticing a bad sign. 

Outside, Theo and Evie are walking through the night and Evie is struggling to walk, as she's so drunk. "How long to your car?", Evie asked in a slur. "Not long, but there's a short cut, we can take this path to my car.", Theo replied, turning her to the right. 

But what Evie doesn't know, is that Theo has taken her into a dark alleyway. He pushes her against the wall, holding her wrists up against the wall. Evie realise what's happening. "What are you doing? Let go of me!", Evie asked. 

"Oh, Evie. You are the most beautiful woman I've ever met and I hope our first encounter will be night you'll never forget.", Theo smiled, as he quickly lifts up her dress, takes off her underwear and put his pants down, before holding her wrists against the wall again. "Help!", Evie screamed as she starts crying, as Theo is about to rape her. 

Benson sees them in the alley, as Evie is about to be raped, and runs up to Theo. "Get off her!", Benson screamed as he tackles Theo to the ground, before he could rape her. Benson punches Theo and gets into a fist fight with him, as Evie watches her husband fight with her attacker. 

Benson punches Theo, which knocks him down and he goes to check on Evie, who is crying and shaking. "Are you alright?", Benson asked. "I don't know!", Evie cried. "Did he hurt you?", Benson asked, as he held her arms. "I just wanna go home!", Evie cried. 

After being punched, Theo grabs his pocket knife and stand up. Evie sees Theo and screams. "Benson, look out!", Evie screamed. Benson turns around, but the moment he turned, Theo stabs Benson in the stomach, as Evie screamed. 

Theo tries to flee, but the police arrives to the scene after being called by witnesses and catches him. "LAPD! Freeze!", the cops yelled, pointing their guns at him. "Drop the knife!", an officer yelled. 

Theo drops it to the ground. "Put your hands up in the air and get on your stomach!", the officer yelled and Theo obey their orders and he is placed in handcuffs and was arrested. Evie goes to comfort an injured Benson. "Benson! Stay with me!", Evie cried, as she held his face. "Evie.", Benson sighed. "Help!", Evie screamed. 

The police calls for an ambulance and Benson is taken to the hospital and sent to the ER. Evie was by his side and begs him to stay alive. Evie message her and Benson's family about the attack and they all went to the hospital. 

"Evie!", Desiree cried. "Dez!", Evie cried, as she hugs her sister. "Are you ok?", Desiree asked. "Yeah I'm fine.", Evie sighed. "What happened?", Rebecca asked. "A nightclub-goer offered me a ride home, but instead, he took me to an alleyway and tried to rape me.", Evie sighed. "What?!", George asked. 

"Wait, you told us that you were getting a cab home.", Rebecca replied. "You lied to us. Evie, why would you do that?!", Desiree asked in shock. "I'm sorry, I wasn't thinking!", Evie cried. "Of course you weren't thinking you nearly got sexually assaulted by a random stranger!", Desiree cried. 

"Okay, enough girls! Let's not argue about this, right here!", Fiona called out, breaking up the fight between the sisters. Victoria goes to check on Evie. "Did he hurt you?", Victoria asked. "No, Benson was there and he saved me.", Evie sighed. 

"Oh my God.", Paul cried. "Where's Benson now?", Jacob asked. "He's in the ER. The doctor's taking care of him.", Evie sighed. Both families sat in the waiting room, waiting for news about Benson. Then, Benson's doctor, Dr. Hamilton comes into the waiting room to inform the family. 

Evie comes up and talk to Dr. Hamilton. "I'm Dr. John Hamilton. I treated Benson.", Dr. Hamilton replied. "Evie Hawkes, I'm Benson's wife. How's my husband?", Evie asked. "Surgery went really well. The knife wound is minor, the knife didn't puncture any of his organs. So that's a good sign.", Dr. Hamilton replied. 

"Is he going to be ok?", Evie asked. "Yes, he'll be ok. But he needs rest in a few days. We'll keep him overnight and tomorrow night.", Dr. Hamilton replied. "Can we see him?", Victoria asked. "Yes, but he's resting right now. So keep it quiet and start with family first.", Dr. Hamilton smiled. "Ok, thank you, Doctor.", Evie smiled. 

"You're welcome.", Dr. Hamilton replied, as Benson's being wheeled out of the ER and into his own room. Evie looks at her in-laws. "You can go in first.", Evie replied. "You sure? You can come in with us.", Victoria replied. "No, you guys are his family. You deserve to see him first.", Evie smiled. 

"Ok, we'll let you know when you can come in.", Victoria smiled, as she and her family goes inside to see Benson. Evie and her family watches Benson, lying in bed unconscious while his family stood by his bedside.
