- YEAR 10,191 -

The sun arose from its sleep and shone brightly onto Arrakis, warming the planet. The people of Arrakis stood in huge crowds awaiting the news, did Atreides accept? Where the Harkonnens really gone for good? They where just some of the questions young Charmaine wondered. She stood beside her Mother, Lorelie and the pair braced themselves.

"House Atreides shall immediately take control of Arrakis!" The man with a scroll called out to the crowd, huge cheers echoed around the warm air. Charmaine sighed in thankfulness, finally all the torture and fear was gone. No more Harkonnes, hopefully peace would finally be brought to Arrakis and maybe even the Fremen would come out of their territory.

Charmaine didn't know much about the Fremen, she knew that they hated the Harkonnen like everyone else and also where very good fighters. She also knew they where protective over the spice, the spice helped reserve life so it was understandable why you would want to keep it.

Lorelie smiled at her daughter, the pair knew things where going to change around here and for the better. Dune Leto sounded like a genuine person? Right? Well at least that's what Charmaine hoped for.

"Let's go home Charm" Lorelie had always called her daughter that, well to be truthfully everyone that knew Charm did.

-

Charm arrived home and laid down on her bed, she was happy about the new leaders. Rumours had been going around that Paul Atreides, the son of Duke Leto, was the one. By the one they mean that he has a special power, The power was unknown to Charm. Her mother didn't tell her and no one else she asked told her.

She was in the dark about most things, her mother didn't like her going out the house on her own. She feared something  would get her, Charm found it ridiculous that her mother would think that but she guessed that Lorelie was just very protective?

"I would like you too join me on Arrakis next week, I need you by my side" Duke Leto told Paul, Paul wanted to go to Arrakis earlier in order to protect Duncan from his death, Paul had dreamed it. Paul's dreams seemed to tell the future, he didn't know why but it was like opening a door and looking into the future.

The thing that was bugging him the most was the dreams he was having recently. Dreams of a girl from Arrakis, he didn't know who she was. She often spoke his name and took him places. He sometimes saw himself next to her, this dream would occur nightly. He wondered if she was real or just a figure of his imagination.

That was another reason he wanted to go to Arrakis, maybe he could find this girl. Paul sighed, "You are the future of Atreides" Leto told his son. "What if I don't want to be" Paul asked, maybe he wasn't ready to take over. It was a huge role to take on, "then you still will be the only thing I ever wanted you to be" Leto placed a hand on Paul's shoulder.

"My son" he smiled, Paul shot a smile back. "You will travel to Arrakis with the rest of us" Leto announced. Paul sighed, it's not the answer he wanted but if he had to wait then so be it.

-

That night the ran poured down, Lady Jessica (Paul's Mother) greeted a strange woman and led her into the building before waking up Paul. He woke up startled and confused, "put some clothes on and and follow me" She whispered. He quickly got changed and followed his mother down the hallway.

"What's going on?" He mumbled, Jessica did not reply. Instead she led him to a door, "what?" Paul muttered. "She wants to know about your dreams" Jessica whispered as she opened the door.

A woman in all black sat in a chair, "leave us" She called out. "Remember your training and do everything she tells your to do" Jessica quickly whispered before hurrying out the door. Paul looked at the woman, "how dare you dismiss my Mother in her own home" Paul snapped.

"Come here!" The woman used the voice, the voice is something some do to command someone to do something. If takes years of practice and Paul hadn't yet managed it, "kneel" she commanded again. Paul found himself kneeling infront if this woman.

"How dare use the voice on me" He snapped at the woman.

"Some of the troops of Atreides have arrived" Lorelie told Charm, she continued to eat her breakfast. "Really?" She asked, her mother nodded. "The daft people are going to try 'befriend' the Fremen" Lorelie laughed. Charm didn't laugh, she thought that it could be a good idea. They where great fighters and could be good protection in case the Harkonnen came back.

"Yeah daft" Charm replied quietly.
