Introducing, Zander's second childhood best friend after Luke, Bearthoven! Yeah, I'm making a head canon for of a stuffed bear that's only had 3 seconds of screen time in the entire series so far. Sue me! Can't blame me when a takeable opportunity is just sitting there to be used! 😎✨
(seriously though, I'm surprised there's not more HCs on this that I know of.. 🤔)

Bearthoven is Zander's childhood lovey that he had received from both his biological parents as gift for his birthday when he turned three years old ✨
He decided to name his precious stuffed bear, Bearthoven after the famous pianist, Ludwig Van Beethoven (ofc ✨), because how fascinated he was by the pianist and his music at the time (and still is lol) after all his mother had told him about him. Not to mention all the compositions by Beethoven he had regularly heard Shannon play and fell in love with it!
The name idea instantly came to him after a whole day of struggling to come up with one after he heard Shannon playing Für Elise on the piano the next day.
After that, he would often pretend that Bearthoven was a world famous pianist just like Beethoven himself and would even preform piano recitals with him for his parents and Luke.
Zander also liked chatting with Bearthoven ordinarily by asking him questions or briefly telling him about his day, since he was always a good listener and gave great advice when he needed it. He would even speak on Bearthoven's behalf to others since he was the only one who could understand the 'famous' bear despite his inability to talk. (I HC that Zander was very imaginative as a kid ok lol)
A few days after gifting Bearthoven to her son, Shannon had sewed Zander's initials on the back of both of Bearthoven's ears so he could always know that Bearthoven was his and that he could always find him if he ever lost him (since she noticed that Bearthoven looked very similar to a lot of other stuffed bears lol).
Zander loved Bearthoven to bits and spent the happiest 4 years with him that he will always cherish. But despite that, he still made the heavyhearted decision anyways one day when he was 7 years old to store him away in a small box in his basement, along with all the other items from his childhood that reminded him of his father.
One night however over 9 years later, Zander decided to look through that very same box that he stored him along with his mom. Even though it had almost been a decade since, Bearthoven still brought Zander the same amount of joy that he used to back when he was a kid when he first saw him again after years of departing from him 💜✨
Zander couldn't bring himself to part with him again after that, so along with all the other contents that he left inside of the box, he brought Bearthoven back up with him to his room!
Now Bearthoven sat on Zander's bottom self above his desk for safekeeping. The perfect place for another imaginative little kid to easily snatch whenever she wanted to play with something other than her own toys ;)
Man I really gave y'all a story with this HC 😅😂 Seriously though, this HC is so damn wholesome and I freaking love it 😭✨
I really liked thinking about scenarios of what it must of been like for Zander to have a lovey as a kid after rewatching the seasons mv often a couple months back, since that's when I really started to take notice of the stuff bear that was lying beside him on his bed. And that eventually lead me to come up with this HC for The Pain OF The Past while I was working on it ✨
It's a shame that we haven't gotten to see much of it in the series so far, but then again you never know what will happen in episode 10 🤷♀️ Plus, making these head canons for it was hella fun! ✨
