TAKE SOME TIME TO READ THIS (IF YOU WANT)
Hi mfs I'm back!! So, kind of went on a break and a lot of shit happened. I almost fought three guys on a bus, I almost fought the bus driver of another bus, AND i was about to catch a case 'cause I was about to bust down the door of this same bus, and I would tell yall about it but it would take me three centuries and a half to write it down. But apart from that, and me also taking time to get back to writing songs, life's been great. I just needed a break from everything, but I missed yall and your comments a lot!
Hopefully I'll be more consistent akajjajah.*_-*-_*
Aether crouched down, settling down his stuff, and when he felt how soft and gentle the grass felt under the palms of his hands, he practically flopped down.
His legs and arms spread wide open, a faint smile unintentionally coming onto his face as he felt the warm sunlight on his skin.
He just basked in the warmth of the sun, and for a moment all of his thoughts disappeared. He sat there for a couple of minutes, or hours, he couldn't really tell.
He eventually decided to sit up, opening his eyes he was greeted by the calming sight of the clearest sky he had in a minute. The cold breeze was still caressing his face, and right in that moment, he thought that he couldn't feel more at peace.
He had been distressed, to say the least for the past couple of weeks. But it hadn't been the usual common wave of stress he was used to have every now and then. It was something new, and he didn't like it.
It didn't go unnoticed to many his friends. All of them had offered a numerous kinds of advice and help to make him feel better, but nothing really worked. That was until Ei came to his rescue.
And honestly, when she first came to him, telling him to simply go isolate himself on a mountain, with the most confident smile on her face like she knew all that was going on in his head, he was tempted to laugh in her face.
But now, he understood.
There was something so fulfilling about the simplicity of the soft breeze flowing throu his hair, the sunlight softly beating onto his skin and the faint chirping of the birds being the only thing interrupting the silence.
And so he just sat there, he honestly didn't know how much time he spent, in silence, letting the cool breeze and warm sun lull him into a trance like feeling. And he was too far gone, when his voice came out of him, singing softly into the air.
The notes came out like they were water, pretty and fluid going into nothingness. He continued singing, no matter how long, and he didn't care.
If he could, he would've stayed like that forever.
Besides, it had been a while since he sang. No one really knew about it, not even Paimon, except for Xinyan and Yunjin (for obvious reasons). The two girls were always trying to get him to sing, always furiously claiming that he had the 'most beautiful voice they've ever heard'.
He didn't really believe it, but the constant praise was still nice.
So he sang, and sang, until his throat was sore, and tired. Stopped with his singing, he was left with pure silence.
And that's when he heard it.
A faint noise behind him, something cracking on the ground. Someone stepping on leaves. And not even in a split second, Aether was on his feet, sword brandished, pointed to the exact way he guessed the noise came from. And he was right.
