Sebastian

Sebastian woke up on the floor many hours later, having to pay his sins to the weed man to actually sleep. Otherwise, he would have laid in bed all night, hyperventilating and paralyzed by sheer panic. He was awoken by the alarm on his phone, startling him awake. He felt like shit and didn't remember himself falling out of bed, but the dead roach ashed into his ashtray next to him suggested he never made it back into the bed to begin with. Once the cannabis indica hybrid granddaddy purple silenced his mind for the night, so did the rest of himself do the same. God bless medical marijuana. It saved his sanity in college better than the shitty stuff he would buy from Pierre's side hustle like he did in high school.

He looked at the clock to see it was nine in the morning, his job orientation was at ten. He willed his legs to move, getting to his feet. While he was still wobbly, he managed to make it to his bathroom okay. Starting the day jerking off in a scalding hot shower always made the day more bearable. Especially right after smoking himself to sleep.

He never told his mother or step father that he had gone to therapy in college or was receiving medication for his generalized anxiety disorder in the form of THC pre rolls that came in the mail. He knew eventually his mother would probably figure it out, but Demetrius would probably kick him out, not believing in the science behind the weed man for epic sleeps, because Demetius only believed in the science that gave him government grants.

After his shower, he checked his phone to see if Abby had messaged him, but she had sent him nothing. She was either too busy helping her father run his shop, too salty from the night before, or both. The group chat with her and Sam was bone dry as well. He might as well not worry about it. She'd talk to him... eventually.

Putting his phone down, he made his way up the stairs to the kitchen, where he saw mayor Lewis talking to his mother, Robin.

"She'll be coming on the bus tomorrow and I'd like you to be with me as a sort of welcome wagon for her when she gets here." Lewis explained. "Her grandfather would have wanted her to be welcomed here."

"Sure, I just finished that coup installation a few towns over, so I have the day to spare." Robin said, looking at her desk planner. "Maybe I can plant some ideas in her head for renovating that old shack, like adding an actual working kitchen."

"You know, back in my day, that house was considered a luxury." Lewis childed her. "Anyway, I'll see you at the bus stop."

He waved to her on the way out and Sebastian continued down the hall like he wasn't just eavesdropping. "A new townie, huh? She'll probably sell the land to joja mart and run. The farm's been run down for years and nobody has the tenacity to repair it, let alone live off of it." Sebastian thought.

Seb put that in the back of his mind as well and got to work making himself breakfast. He raided the fridge, grabbing some toast and the star fruit jelly his mother had gotten as a tip for installing a well. When the toast sprung out of the toaster, he spread a heavy layer of jelly on top. College didn't have artisan farm goods, so he was spoiling himself until he had the funds to finally move out to the big city again. Maybe his mother would send him care packages like she did back in college with her pumpkin soup. He poured himself a rather large cup of coffee in Demetius's "Best Science Dad Ever" mug Maru had gotten him for a fathers day and made his way back to his basement dwelling, greeting his mother before heading down.

After finishing the toast and coffee, Sebastian quickly sparked up a cigarette to calm his nerves about the upcoming zoom orientation meeting. He didn't know how many people would be there, let alone meeting his new boss and HR manager was worrisome enough. Everyone he let in had to bother him for months, years even, before he let them fully in and he could still count on his fingers how many friends he had. He knew Abigail eighteen years before he finally allowed himself to go on a date with her. Hell, even Demetrius tried for years to understand him before just deciding he was better off nagging and preaching at him instead.

He was lucky to have scored a job at a freelance programing agency that did all the heavy lifting of finding contracts for employees to work on. The hours were flexible so Seb could work when he wanted to, as long as he met his deadlines and he never had to show up to the office in person. It was absolutely perfect for him. He just wished his step dad saw it as an actual job.

At five minutes to, Sebastian checked his acceptance email for the zoom code and logged himself into the meeting, glad he didn't ever bother getting himself a webcam. However, three hours into the meeting his mother opened the door.

"Sebby, Abigale is here to see you." She said, letting the purpled haired girl into the room.

He quickly muted his mic, taking one headphone off his ear to look up, "Mom, I'm kinda busy right now."

But she was gone and Abigail stood there, looking at him, annoyance and defeat on her face. "My dad is being a jerk, can I crash here for a few hours? I can't be around him. I didn't want to disturb you, but Sam's at work for another half hour."

"I'm at work, too." Seb said flatly.

Tears started brimming in her eyes and Seb knew she wasn't going to leave without getting into a huge fight with him.

"Fine, just... lock the door." He said with a sigh. "And try not to be distracting. My boss is telling me about the project I'm going to be working on."

Abigale locked the door, but was anything but not distracting. She quickly pulled off her blue vest, slipped her bra out of her shirt, and pulled down her pants, things Seb was fine with on a normal day when he didn't need to concentrate, but here she was, flopped on his bed playing Journey Of The Prairie King on her phone, in just her panties and a tee shirt. Immediately he popped a boner and lost all concentration. He knew what she was really here for and he couldn't give it to her.

"Can you at least put your pants on?" He asked her.

"But Seb, I never wear pants in your room." She said with a pout over her game. "And they are so uncomfortable."

"Please put your pants on?" He asked again, trying to keep his temper in check with her. "I can't concentrate."

"Fine!" She said in full bitchy annoyance as she picked her pants up off the floor and put them back on again. "Happy?"

"Yes," he said, beginning to quell the boner in his pants, finally being able to concentrate on his meeting.

However, concentration was fully out the window when a half hour later another knock came at the door. Abigale opened it to see Sam standing in the hallway, still in his Joja uniform from work.

"Hey, Sam! How was work?" She asked as she let him in. "I hope you don't mind, Seb, Sam wanted to hang out."

"No, sure, it's not like I'm working or anything." Sebastian said through gritted teeth, pinching the brim of his nose.

He was definitely going to have to have a talk with his mother about letting Abigail over while he worked.
