A Manual to Behold

There was something to behold.
A great need exists for it,
Perhaps it was like a cell phone that takes away precious family time or
salt, whose importance goes beyond but in price every man can afford.
Perhaps a droplet of sound coming from the mouth that has the power to send one straight to hell just as it has the same power for life, and life more abundantly.

It was something to behold and needed.
More than an opened eye in the morning reaching for a cell phone before checking to see if one is alive.
An umbrella, perhaps, blocking the light with trivial efforts to protect that of which is temporary.

Behold that which is little, but mirrors a mother's effort to balance without a father.
A flow of clean air scanning the lungs to protect,
Or a phone call with kind of news that changes one's emotional state.
For one, it is life.
For another, it is death.
For others, it is necessity.
