"O-okay," Dream stutters.
"Wait, really?" George says, taken aback.
"I- wait-"
"Thank you!" George's face breaks out into a wide (and very adorable) grin before he turns around and starts skipping away.
"No- George!" Dream runs after the boy, catching his wrist and forcing him to come to a halt. "Your mother gave me strict orders to not let you get out of work."
"Dream!" George whines, pouting. "Pretty please?" he tries smiling sweetly.
"You can't use the same trick twice," Dream says, even though he was pretty damn close to caving.
"Fine," George grumbles, stomping back into the barn. "What now?"
Laughing at his childish behavior, Dream replies, "We need to collect the eggs now. Only get the ones the chickens aren't sitting on. Oh, and try not to break them, maybe?"
Scowling, George gets to work, digging out eggs and gently placing them in his front pocket, which happened to be much more roomy than it seemed at first. The chickens don't bother him for the most part. That is, at least, until the arrival of Pig.
"Ey! Pig, my man!" Dream says to a large, dark red rooster that just strutted into the barn. "Pig, this is George, he'll be helping us out for a while."
"...You sound like a literal madman."
"George, this is Pig," Dream continues without a stutter, "the big man," he nods, almost as if warning George.
Pig eyes George, cocking his head to the side and peering up at him through one eye. George returns the gesture, giving him a hostile glare. Turns out, though, that wasn't a good decision.
Pig starts stalking toward George, and George backs away.
"Yeah, Pig doesn't take kindly to strangers," Dream says, mildly concerned as Pig quickens his pace, causing George to do the same.
"What the hell?" he shrieks, speeding up to a jog, now as Pig pecks at his shoes.
"Pig- Pig, no," Dream wheezes as George cowers behind him, but Pig just goes around and starts jumping at George.
"Dream!" George yelps from behind him, hands on Dream's shoulders. "Do something!"
Still laughing hysterically, Dream crouches and says, "Jump on."
"What!?" George is still frantically trying to shoo Pig away.
"Come on, he'll just come after you if you try to run!" Dream says, still crouching. "You can-" wheeze. "You can ride me."
Letting out a strangled sound, George mounts Dream, face blazing hot as he fastens his arms around Dream's neck. Dream supports George's weight by putting his arms under his thighs, and then sprints towards the house, George on his back.
Craning his neck to look behind him, George sees that Pig is still hot on their tail. "Faster, Dream!" and that makes Dream bend over with the loudest wheeze George has ever heard. He wonders how he's still running.
"Oh God, George," Dream keeps wheezing up until they burst through the front door, and he slams the door shut behind them. George clumsily gets off of Dream, who is still bent over in laughter, red-faced.
"Shut uuuuup," George groans, covering his hot face with his hands.
"Hey, I'm not the horny one," Dream tells George with a smirk, and George lets out a loud, scandalized gasp. "Anyway," Dream says, peering out the window at the front of the house to see where Pig was. "Yeah, we should probably let Pig cool down before we do any more work out there. Let's go do the sunflowers first, then," he goes to the back door, and George has no option but to trail behind.
