Ellie's POV

It was back to normality again, back to detentions, snotty teachers and a shit load of homework. How wonderful.

I walked down the great hall with everyone as we all went to take our seats for this years upcoming speech from dumbledore himself.

Taking in the surroundings and all the familiar faces we all came to know. I complain about school but I honestly do love hogwarts. The layout of the school and the portraits on the wall, it was actually quite beautiful.

"I better go sit with my classmates" I sighed to the group. This was the true reason I didn't enjoy school as much I hated being a way from the others.

"You could just sit with us Ellie, I mean what's the harm in it?" Draco explained while motioning for me to sit beside him by patting the seat next to him.

"Yeah honestly it's not as if your sitting at another table" pansy smiled while taking her seat.

"Yeah true" I agreed with them and took a seat next to Draco.

Chatters of students that filled the room where now silenced by the presence of dumbledore standing up to make his speech.

"Welcome back to another year at hogwarts. I hope you all had a lovely summer. As some of you may know this year we will be hosting no other than the Triwizard Tournament" the old bearded man said with much excitement in his tone.

We all looked at each other as he explained. "I heard something earlier about other schools joining us" Theo mentioned as we all looked back over to dumbledore.

My elbow rested on the table with my head resting on the palm of my hand. I was taking in everything the old bat was saying but I suddenly felt as if eyes were piercing into the side of my head.

I turned my head slowly to see it was coming from a table a far from the one I sat at, I made eye contact with the person whose the eyes belonged to that was burning a hole in the side of my head.

The brown haired, 6ft, drop the gorgeous Hufflepuff sent me a blushed smile as he noticed I was looking back at him.  I simply returned the action and sent him a smirk back.

Why was Cedric Diggory checking me out? I thought to myself.

I turned my attention back to the ongoing speech that never wanted to end, I was starving all I wanted to do was eat and dumbledaddy doesn't want to stop talking.

Mattheos POV

The crusty old man that my father hated was rambling on about some stupid competition for the last half hour, merlin he was burning my ears on fire with the about of shit he talks.

I became bored and started fiddling with my ring paying no more attention to dumbledore. My silver chunky ring is a family heirloom, I believe all of the boys got passed down rings from there fathers.

You wouldn't think old voldy would give me a ring as such but he did the moment I turned 11 and was told about beginning hogwarts. When he gave it to me I was surprised to say the least my father isn't an affectionate man in the slightest, so to be given a family heirloom was kinda nice.

It was probably the only one good thing my father ever done for me.

That's why the ring has much meaning to me.
