Evie was coming home in like a day or two. Everyone who knew about it decided that maybe we should let Evie stay somewhere else to at the very least let her have a comfort zone of her own.
"Hey, son.. I heard about what happened with Evie and now I understand why you had to suddenly run out of the house that day."
Dad sighed.
"Well, I just want her kept safe and for the longest time that we've known the Michaels.. do you think we should, I don't know, let her stay here?"
My eyes widened. Eve's coming and staying to my house?!
"Well, where'd she sleep?"
I calmly asked though I think my Dad already knew I was excited as hell.
"Well since you're pretty much an only child, we think we can finally use the other room. If it's gonne be a hard time to renovate then I guess she can sleep beside you or on your bed."
Me? Sleeping beside Evie?! Holy shit.. is this?- am I dreaming?!?
"I mean she can sleep in my room, I'll just sleep on the floor."
I offered.
"Hmm. Well, I'll talk to your mom about it since uh.. you're both 17 now and crazy things can happen."
I let out a chuckle,
"Dad, I wouldn't do the deed. Unless of course we become official."
My dad laughed and left my room.

I went to Room 205 with a nurse rolling a wheelchair around.
We entered and we saw Evie just finishing dressing up. She put on her crimson colored jacket which quite matched her dark blue dress.
"You wanna go home Miss Evie?"
I asked and she just laughs.
"Hell yeah."
The nurses helped her to the wheelchair and we went all the way to the exit of the hospital.
My parents were parked right in front. The nurses and I helped Evie walk to the car and we went to our house which is like 10 houses away from hers.
When we got home, our family's maid or helper greeted her with a smile. Each time I looked at her face I could tell how happy she was. Not because she can live with me or in a new house, but because people smiled. At her specifically. Seeing her being happy made my spirits go up and my hope rise through the roof.
When we got to our room, my mom warned us:
"No funny business alright?"
We both chuckled awkwardly and I guess my mom wasn't trying to do that.
"Hey, what if my parents come home and try to find me?"
She asked worringly. I hadn't thought the idea of that happening though which is pretty stupid of me.
"Well we can tell them you ain't here. They'll think you ran away, right?"
I used a voice of reassurance.
"Well, I guess you could be right."
She let a sigh of relief out.
"I'll go buy some food. On the way out a nurse reminded me that you should start on liquid or soft foods first since you just recovered then work your way up."
I stood up and as I was about to leave the room..
"Goodbye!"
The feeling of being expected to come back. Its so nourishing!
