Yes, my name is Ryan Halloway. I am 17 years old and I'm a 1st year in Senior High. I play Basketball but I also play Volleyball. I play the guitar but I can also sing. I hate studying but I can become a top notcher, if I need to.

Who we just discussed is a girl named Elisaveth Michaels. I call her Evie for casual shortness. EV for online chats and Elise for the almost serious ones.

Evie and I, well, she loved me as a friend but she didn't want me as a boyfriend. Though she's rejected me 5 whole times and although I tried forgetting about it, my brain just brings her back over and over and over.

I don't want to let Evie go as she seemed like my soulmate. Although I got rejected a lot, I've been known to never give up.

I went to school today with a hell of a lot of people looking at me. Did they hear about what happened to Evie?

Their stares, Their stares followed me even as I was going to get my books from my locker. Their eyes were so steady as if they were trying to tell me something.

The staring ended at lunch. That's when Hollywood appeared. His real name? Jackson Maves. We call him Hollywood because Jack and I have been bestfriends since kids and there's been this joke that Jack was caught looking at someone's... well... erected wood.

Jack was then teased about this and I know it's not true but for others, it seemed like it was.

Since Jack's childhood bestfriend was me, they took the "Hallow" part of my surname and made it the first part of his nickname. The wood? Well, I guess you know what that would be from.

"Hey, Ryan? You okay?"
He asked.

"Clearly I am, but clearly, they're not. What the hell is wrong with everybody?"
I asked, I was dying to hear the answer.

"Well, someone saw you barge in Eve's home and.. take her out while being soaked in blood and putting her in an ambulance. People are thinking.... you had crazy sex and it went too rough that she squirted out blood."

I was surprised by the mindful assessment that the students of this school chose to do. I was shocked though that it was nowhere near that.

"What? No."
I stood up and then yelled,

"Elisaveth Michaels has been seriously injured the day you saw me in her house and I was just called by her to help. In no way did we have sex and so let me clarify that its a stupid fucking rumor."

I said out loud in the whole cafeteria. I'm thinking lunch personnel heard it too..

Hollywood then asked,
"Then what happened? Why would you be soaked in blood? Why would you get an ambu-

"Remember when I told you something bad was gonna happen? Well something bad did happen but don't tell anyone or I'll kill the living shit out of you."
I cut him off with a warning. Here goes..

"Evie slit her wrist---"

"WAIT WHAT, SHE SLIT HER WRISTS?"
stupid
fuckin'
bitch.

The whole cafeteria pointed their eyes and ears at us.

"Mister Halloway, may you come with us in the Guidance Office?"

A counselor stood tall in front of me. Hollywood sure knew he messed up because once I pulled a glare at him, that's a signal he fucked up.

--

"Mister Halloway, what kind of "slitting" did Miss Michaels do?"

I stood quietly still.

"Answer or I call your parents and put you on school punishments for non-compliance."

My whole body woke up.

"Okay, okay. Um.. she slit her wrists which is, hard to say, a form of suicidal act."

I had to say it, I'm sorry Evie.

"Now, get out of the room quietly please. I need to talk with the staff."

I stood up and left. It was dismissal anyways so, yay, free time.

--

"Mister Halloway, how may I help you?" Doc. Jachs greeted me as he passed by me in the hallways.

"I'm here to see-"

"Miss Michaels of course. Come, I'll show you the way. Better memorize it now cause I may not meet you next time."
He smiled which gave me quite a sad feeling.

--
"Hey.. the whole batch... knows...."
She stood in shock.

"How?"

"Hollywood got nosy and got noisy."

"Why would you say a secret to Hollywood? That guy can't keep secrets."

"I'm sorry, I just needed to get everything out of my chest for now."

"It's alright, at least I don't have to hide anymore."

I walked to the room's bathroom and washed my face. I still freshly remember seeing her all bloody and I think Jachs was right. If I was a bit too late, even for a second, she would've been dead.

Dead.

Dead.

I never liked death. Though it's inevitable, I never liked it.

I came out of the bathroom and got called by Evie.

"When I come back to school,"

"Hmm?"
I was curious.

"Please, hold my hand."
Wow. Evie Michaels just asked me to hold her hand. After 5 years of waiting.

"Sure, I'd love that."
That was a bit from the bottomless pit of my heart, whatever that means.

I love her and I do not want to lose her. Losing someone as precious as her to me would be something I'd have a hard time recovering from.
