Hmm, this sounds a bit cheesy. Your love letter which consisted of small doodles on a ripped out page in your exercise book, oh, and your heartfelt feelings. You sighed, looking out the window once again, until you were jumpscared by a hyper boy.

"Boo!" He shook your shoulders as you jumped slightly. When you turned your head, a familiar boy stood before you. "Hello Chenle." You blushed even saying his name.

"Huh? What's this?" His hand reached out for the paper on your desk as you abruptly snatched it and threw it inside of your bag hanging by your seat. "It's nothing! Oh, I think Renjun is coming! I should leave," you panicked and hurriedly threw everything on your desk into your beat up bag.

Chenle turned around and saw Renjun hopping over excitedly, by the time he turned around you had run out the classroom.

"That was so embarrassing." You grumbled to yourself, leaving the school grounds.

You decided to walk around town and pick up some groceries.

After exiting the bus, you were greeted with a busy street, filled with students, citizens, or businessmen who were on their lunch breaks.

You passed by many unfamiliar faces, except there was one familiar face. His stressed out face made his eyebrows furrow and wrinkles began to form on his forehead. His eyes were looking down at a piece of paper, ignoring the rest of the world. You recognised him. And he was headed straight in your direction.

But where was he from again? You took a moment to think, but before you could even react, the man was right in front of you, oblivious to the situation. "Huh? Excuse me young woman." The man must've caught you in his sight as he was much taller than you were.

"I'm sorry." You apologised quietly before the man took his eyes off of the paper finally. "Oh... (Y/N) was it?" He questioned you with an even more stressed out expression.

"Yes..." You answered timidly since you really couldn't remember where you last saw this man.

"I'm so sorry for my behaviour the last time we met. The truth is, my wife left me recently and I've just been so hopeless since then. I'm trying to be the best father I can to Jamie but between these strict work hours and only me to take care of him, it's become so difficult. Sometimes I feel as if I'm not his father anymore." He desperately sighed in defeat as you remembered that the man was Jamie's father. He rushed through his speech, spewing whatever details he could add.

"Thank you for taking care of Jamie. He's shown that he views you as family... I wish he could view me like that too." His expression became dull and dark. "I'm sure he views you as a father." You attempted to console the man.

"I doubt that, young lady. I'm sorry but if you could excuse me, I have a business meeting I must attend to. I hope to see you around." And with that, he took off.

You waved him goodbye as you stood in shock.
