Breakdown of a Kiss

"But to hell with all of that because I like you"

He takes a step closer towards her, as he attempts to explain his feelings. She gently covers his mouth, in fear of what he may say. He stands completely still, as she tells him to keep his words to himself. He listens intently and gazes at her fondly, but with sad eyes. She bares her heart out, as her emotions have completely consumed her. She can't take it any longer. She needs to pour out all the feelings bottled up inside of her. She ends her confession, embarrassed and misty-eyed.

He reaches for her hand, removing them from his lips. He keeps his fingers clasped to hers. He does not let go of her hand. She wonders what he may utter next, as they stare into each other's eyes. With tears about to flow, he leans forward again, this time closer, to remove the space between them. He closes his eyes. Exhausted from all the emotional tension that has built up inside of him, he finally surrenders. He delicately holds her face, tilting his head, meeting her lips. That first tender touch of their lips, electrifyingly soft. They both close their eyes and melt into a kiss, as they savor this moment fate has given them. He slowly pulls back. She is speechless, completely baffled with what just happened. He speaks, in a low, mellow voice. She listens in anticipation to what he has to say. He tells her he can't deny his feelings as well. His confession fills the air, as his lips break into a smile. Her eyes smile back, as they come together once more for a prolonged kiss, where all their longing for each other can't be denied.
