Diane's perspective;

She is almost here.-I thought.

All the food was prepared. Diane made spaghetti. It was her favorite, so she hoped you liked it too. Just one last thing was missing.

Diane pulled a small, metal key out of the pocket on her jeans and used it on one of her kitchen cabinets that unfortunately had a lock. She stood up on her tiptoes and took a little glass jar with a cork stopper on top. She poured a few drops of the liquid in a bottle of vine. It was arsenic.

After getting changed into a white sweater and a long, black skirt, Diane heard a knock on the door. She walked up to the doors and whispered before opening:-"I'm so sorry darling..."

As I opened, I saw beautiful (y/n). She looked amazing tonight. She had a dark brown plaid dress on and a beige sweater under it. I noticed even a bit of makeup on her eyes, and lips. She smelled so sweet, like vanilla.

-"(Y/n)! You are so beautiful. Aren't you cold? Get inside, honey."

-"Thank you so much. You look amazing as well. It smells so delicious in here, what did you cook?"

-"Spaghetti and some sauce. It's not anything extremely 'fancy' buy it's always been my favorite. Do you like pasta?"

-"Oh my gosh, yes! It's my literal favorite. My brother would prepare it like every second day before, but now that I've moved I don't really eat it as often. As much as I love to cook and bake, I'm horrible at it."

I laughed softly and said:-"Go sit at the table and wait for me. Make yourself comfortable, sweetheart."

-"Okay!"

I looked at myself in the mirror and fixed my hair a bit;-"Looking good, Diane."

-"Hey, honey! I'm back. Let me put some on your plate."

-"I can't wait to try it. It smells so good!"

I sat down at the table, opposite of (y/n). She got a bit of spaghetti on her fork and brought it to her mouth. She had sauce all around her face, making me giggle;

-"This is embarrassing. I'm sorry, I'm clumsy. It tastes great though. Can I try the wine? I usually don't drink so this is new to me."

-"Mhm..."-I said with regret.

(Y/n) opened the wine bottle and focused on pouring it into the glass, trying so hard not to spill it while she licked some sauce off her lips.

Before she got a chance to drink it, I stopped her;

-"Please, (y/n), don't drink this. I have a better wine for you. Let me wipe that sauce off your face now."-I said before softly giggling.

-"Oh... Alright."

I got a tissue and gently wiped her mouth.
I noticed she smiled a little and stared right into my eyes. Damn. She's mesmerizing. Her glossy eyes, her scent... But now I've lost my chance to kill her. When will I get a chance as good as this one again?

Y/n's perspective;

This night was going just perfect. After dinner, Diane and I watched The Conjuring since both of us liked horror. We were on Diane's bed, under the covers. She had a huge tv in her room, and her house was genuinely a lot bigger than mine. I rested my head on Diane's shoulder and she caressed my hair. The movie then ended;

-"I liked it a lot!"

-"And so did I, sweetheart. Do you have to go to college tomorrow?"

-"No... It starts in a few days. I'm so stressed."

-"No, no honey. You are a smart girl, you should rest and I believe you are ready for everything that awaits you. What type of college is it?"

-"It's arts and design. Why are you interested?"

-"Well, I just want to get to know you better."

-"Oh, that's fine. Do you have any other job than delivering food? I mean, I have to admit you look quite rich."

-"Oh my... That's my side job, silly. I work as a librarian. But now if you'll excuse me, I have to go do something. I'll be right back."

-"Of course."

Diane bit her bottom lip while stepping out the room as she looked at you.

You were curious where she was going, so as soon as she left, you ran up and pressed your ear against the door. It sounded as if she was arguing with somebody. You supposed it was just over the phone so you sat on the bed and waited for her to get back.

-"Hey, sweetheart. I'm back."

-"Hello... Who's the poor person you lashed out at?"-you said jokingly but Diane's expression quickly changed;

-"You eavesdropped on me?"

-"N-no... You were quite loud."

-"It was just my boss. Don't mind it."

-"Alright. I should go now... Such a bore..."

-"What? That isn't even in question. You are staying overnight, aren't you?"

-"That would be awesome if I'm welcomed!"

-"Of course you are, honey. I'll get you some more comfortable clothes."

Diane soon brought a long, white sweater and gray sweatpants. The clothes smelled like her. She exited the room while you changed. You were both snuggled under the covers as you drifted to sleep in Diane's embrace.
