"What will you do now Josh?", I asked.

"I don't know..."

"Don't worry at all Josh", Riya butted in "I'll ask Laksh to introduce you to some Ooty babe".

Josh grinned at Riya. He put his arm around her shoulder and gave her a squeeze. I thought he was really cool. There are many Rahuls in this world. But there are just a few Joshs.

I knew Zoya had her reasons. Rahul was a fabulous guy too and he did care for Zoya. Plus, I couldn't make Zoya love or unlove anybody. But all the same, had it been me in Zoya's place and I'd had to choose between Rahul and Josh, I would've chosen Josh.

I was beginning to think it was a vanilla event. I wondered whether I should call it a night and go back to my room. But nobody expect me seemed to have any idea of leaving. I didn't want to be stuck in the staff house with only Revathi and the other staff. So I sticked around.

And then it happened all of a sudden.

We saw a police van coming into the driveway. I had never seen a police van up close before. I felt automatically tensed. I turned to Reyansh who, to my surprise, grabbed my hand and ran. He beckoned Riya and Josh to follow.

We ran out and into the gardens. We went all the way to the rearmost part of the resort. The music from the hall had stopped. There was an eerie silence everywhere except for the rustle of the leaves.

We settled down into one of the stone benches. Josh, Riya and I turned to look at Reyansh expectantly.

When he didn't say anything, Riya spoke first, "What on earth was that Reyansh? Why did you make us run away like criminals? Why should we be so scared? I think we should go back", she said getting up.

"No!", Reyansh said pulling her back down "Whatever the thing is, let's not go. Guys please! Trust me, it won't be a pretty sight", Reyansh said.

I had almost forgotten that Reyansh had some experience with the police. He had been caught with drug peddlers when he was just fifteen. He probably knew what he was talking about.

"Yeah let's stay", I sided with him.

"Okay...fine", Riya plonked back onto the bench and crossed her arms.

We sat there in silence, for what seemed like eternity. After a long long time, we heard the police van leaving the building.

"Reyansh?", I called.

"Huh?"

"What about Maya?", I asked in a very quiet voice.

Reyansh turned pale.
