Sae-Byeok's POV
There is something definitely interesting about Y/n, I just can't figure out what. Everything she says, does, piques my interest. I've never had any friends, I just never really liked people, that's all. But she's different. Her life stories and the way she's telling them to me literally captures my heart.
She's been through so much, yet she's so calm and cheerful talking about all that stuff. Like, I know deep down it hurts her, but she doesn't recognize it.
Maybe it doesn't hurt her though. That's the interesting thing about Y/n, you never know what goes on in her head, or how she really feels. She might be able to fool everyone else, seeming like a brave, lionhearted person, but not me.
I know that because I'm the same. I just don't like being so loud and talk so much as her.
We're so similar, yet so different.
Y/n's POV
Sae-Byeok and I are eating, talking about random stuff. Being around her is so relaxing, she's such a nice person when she opens up to someone.
— It was him! He took our food! screams a man.
Oh great, drama.
— What? What are you talking about, shithead?
Number 101 is causing problems again.
I don't even have time to say something when I see him beating up the other guy.
— That's what you get for talking to me like that! says Number 101 hitting the man one last time.
I stand up and go to see what the man's condition is immediately.
— He's.. dead, I say shocked. Guys, he's dead! That asshole killed this poor man!
— Eh? Who are you calling an asshole? asks Number 101 walking towards me.
— You! Don't you dare touch me. I swear if you put even one finger on me, I'll chop off all of them, I say.
There's one thing that I hate most in this world: A man that can't keep his dirty hands to himself.
— Oh c'mon, don't act like you care now. You just want the money, like everyone here does. Don't tell me you wouldn't do the same, he says.
— I'm okay with people dying because of the games. They chose to play them, it's not my fault that they're dying. But you, it's your fault that this man right here died! You killed him, and that's one thing I won't accept as long as I'm here, I say. I don't want us to go around killing each other.
He looks at his friends and starts laughing. He then comes closer to me, and I lay back a little.
— You're lucky that you're pretty, he says touching my cheek, otherwise you'd be lying there next to that bastard too.
That's it, that was the last straw.
I punch him really hard in the face, three, no, four times. Ew, now his blood is on my hand.
— Don't mess with me, little guy, I know how to protect myself, and don't think that I won't fight back. You know, you are lucky that I'm not chopping off your fingers right now, I say smiling at him in a provoking way.
— J..Just wait, you little bitch! I'll get you back for this! he says walking away.
I shake my hands and go back to Sae-Byeok. Great, now my hands hurt too.
— Woah, you really went all out, didn't you? she says.
— That jerk pissed me off, I say. I had to do something.
— Hah, of course you had to, she says looking at me and smiling.
