Skirmish

The company rappelled down the inside portion of the canyon. Tac and the rest of his assigned squad that was 4 others including, Cutter, Cameron, Jackrabbit, and Rhett, watched the bombsquad cut through rock into a Geonosian tunnel. The company filed into the tunnel, about 150 clones, turning on helmet flashlights and then walking quietly down the corridors, silencing any sleeping geonosian. Cutter, the company’s captain,  must have had the layout of the tunnels, because their squad was up front leading. Luckily no small firefights occurred between the geonosians and clones, otherwise the whole hive would have awoken to warn the CIS. They soon reached the designated area where the wall was to be sliced through. Once inside the company made their way through the bunker, it was a lot bigger than they had previously assumed.

“Droids coming around the corner! Prepare a firing line!” Cutter commanded.

Several B1 battle droids came around the corner and started shooting randomly at the clones. Tac fired his rifle from the hip and took out two of the droids. Another squad of droids rounded the corner, with launchers. One fired, killing a trooper and wounding two others. The launchers started firing every 5 seconds bringing more troopers down.

“Platoons 2 and 4 focus all fire on those rockets, the rest of you provide coverfire!” Cutter ordered.

The strategy worked well and they were able to take the droids out effectively The small firefight resulted in 10 wounded and 4 dead clones.

“Let’s keep moving,” Cutter said while pulling up a holographic display, “Platoons 1 and 2 head to the communications room and find any Separatists plans. Platoons 3 and 4 are with me to plant bombs on the guns. We’ll meet back at the tunnel in 1 hour.”

Tac watched Lieutenant Alto brief his troops and move out down the opposite corridor then closely followed by Lieutenant Kim and his soldiers.
