Tac looked back down at Cameron, to see Cameron’s right leg was gone but still alive.

The company secured the hanger while the bombsquad armed the charges all along the guns. Tac walked along the wall towards the door they had come in by. For fun he looked out into the hallway, and reared back almost losing his head.

"Droids! In the corridor!" Tac shouted.

Then he firmly braced himself against the wall and returned fire. Clones rushed over to aid Tac with the skirmish. There was only about 10 of the B1 battle droids out there,Their skeletal bodies weak to the clones' blasterfire. It was all over in about a minute. The bomb squad was done and the company moved out making for the geonosian tunnel. Moving down familiar hallways passing all the rooms they had gone by before, finally arriving at the hall with the tunnel in the side.

Tac could see the other platoons waiting for them. Tac continued running for the tunnel as fast as he could. The walls and ceiling exploded allowing debris to fall onto all of platoons 3 & 4, obliterating the team. Tac was half under a piece of wall, but he still saw the swarm of geonosian fighters fly out to intercept the other clones. He heard over the helmets frequency reader,

"Alto we are all dead except for me, I can distract the fighters long enough so that you can get to extraction," and Tac could only assume it was Cutter talking.

"Understood Cutter, thanks." Alto replied then added, "what about the gun charges?"

"I'll-" Cutter was about to say

"I will find bombsquads' explosive device." Tac said pulling himself out of the wreckage and stood up next to Cutter's half stunned expression.

Tac was missing his armor's left gauntlet and his weapon. Cutter was worse off, his entire right arm was gone and his face was bleeding with tiny cuts. Although not hindered, the Alpha looked at Tac, gave a curt nod then launched into action. The geonosions were distracted for just a moment and that's all it took for Alto and his clones to slip by. Cutter started taking down geonosians with his sidearm in hand. Tac started flipping over the wrecked walls looking for the activation device. Bodies were everywhere, and he managed to snag a DC-15S. He came across Cameron’s strewn dead body and cursed out loud.

Tac knew Cutter didn’t have much strength left, but he sure knew that Cutter didn’t show it so he continued searching for the device. Tac finally came across one of bombsquads’ bodies, he was sure it would have the device, since each of the eight orange colored clones should have one less one die. However, it wasn’t there and worse off a droideka had rounded the corner rolling straight at him. Quickly taking cover behind some wrecked wall before it spotted him. Peeking through a small hole, he saw it come to a standing position. The droideka then began up the small slope of debris without its shield activated. Tac waited for it to pass over him then jumped up for the headshot. It was too late, as he was in mid-air the droideka swung its blaster arm around knocking Tac against the floor. Tac looked up and thanked the droideka for the boost to the ground, because he sighted the device. Tac looked up and rolled to his side dodging bolts from the destroyer. He threw a thermal detonator, and just as it got to the droid a shield activated. But the roller was too slow and the detonator had gotten inside of the shield blowing it to smithereens.

Tac grabbed the device and lurched upward to still see Cutter shooting even more genosians. Almost to the point of being buried by alive and dead bodies.

“Alto, are you clear of the bunker?” Tac said into his wrist COM.

“We are away you are safe to blow the place.” Alto replied.

Alto watched, along with the pilot of the LAAT, the bunker and the side of the canyon explode into white light then dim back down to crumbling rocks. Alto saluted his brothers and honored their sacrifice to save his men.
