A day had passed since the awkward lunch filled with tension thick enough to cut cake with. Mythili had taken off with Vithushaki, Deepali, and Asher in hopes to find out what was behind the strange cyborg. Vakpati and Sivakumar had left for their room, as they still lived with the others, and avoided contact for the rest of the day. Now a new dawn had risen, and for Anushani Sivaloganathan, it fell on a school day. She wanted to help Devipriya with a case she had left alone for a day, but it seemed her help wouldn't be needed.
Anushani arrived at the Magnus Academy where she taught, south of Chennai and north of Clockwork City, it wasn't that far of a ride when she had an personal Gryphon she could fly on. "Thanks Frostbeak, I'll see you this afternoon," Anushani turned to the large white crested bird with a upper torso akin to the American Bald Eagle, it snapped the curved frosted blue beak in happiness, Anushani trailed her fingers along the ice blue lion's body ending with a long tail. The large aviary gave out a happy shrill, expanding her wings up, and took flight allowing Anushani to wave her off. She turned to the tall platinum steel fence with a gate that allowed her to walk through, where she could see the tall rebuilt stone castle towering over the green lawns, cobblestone paths and small gardens that had Faerie orbs flying around them, currently watering the plants. She walked along the red and white path, her dark wine red sari flowing in the gentle breeze over her shoulder, complimenting her forest green choli blouse and petticoat dress. As she glanced up, she could see at the four end corners of the castle, the roof turned into a round tower, Elven archers could be seen walking around on top. All along the fog grey walls were magical runes that glowed different colours of the rainbow, each with their effects to ward off any troubles, all along the lawns you could see the students of varying ages, from ten to ninety practising magic. Some days, as Anushani watched two students practice witch spells and causing items to float, she felt out of place. There was a school in Clockwork City, designed to help with advanced technology, but she had been teaching here long before she met Devipriya, Chennai had been her original home, and it had been such a large culture shock when she switched cities. Chennai was just as advanced with robotics, but Clockwork was something else.
As she came closer to the large arched marble doors with dragon doorholders on either sides, the scales seem to be a scarlet red even when etched into stone, the eyes seem to glow a teal blue upon coming to it, and opened alone.
She noted the various statues of the Hindu Gods along the bottom part of the walls, she placed her hands together for respect, and walked right in. The interior was similar to the Taj Mahal, mandala patterned walls with scoped ceilings and shiny chandeliers hanging from the top, one could see an small idol of Kali on each of them. She walked along the tiled black and red floors, before hearing a voice.
"Morning Mrs Sivaloganathan," two students of Australian heritages had greeted her, allowing Anushani to answer with "Vanakkam!"
"Vanakkam," they both chorused before walking towards some lockers, that lined up the walls. Many different races with different backgrounds came all around the road to learn from here, two choices between the Hero Academy in Australia and the Magnus Academy right here. Even Orcs and Dwarven scholars were interested in learning here, they were the races who had least magical knowledge. And a majority of the students and staff were South Asian themselves, easily notably by the South Asian clothing including saris, kurtas, shalwars, churidars, dhoti, burgas or turbans, many with bindis, henna tattoos covered the back of their palms and jewellery adoring their head and body. Nearly everyone regardless of race had henna tattoos painted on the back of their hands, in different colours and shapes, due to it being number one protection against evil and dangerous wards, which were only discovered to have strong magical properties with the right spell and brush.
