Chapter 19 - To Save Rei

"We're going to get you out of here soon enough"

After their recent fight with Rei, The group sits around thinking about what the hell just happened and how much pain their friend was actually going through.

Kendo was silent thinking about what happened. She has never seen him in so much pain before even when he was staying with her. He had bruises and scratches but she has never seen him scarred or in mental pain like he was in now. Amaterasu sat there while just a bit saddened by what happened. Nobody wanted to say anything about what happened.

"So..." Amaterasu decided to speak up. Mina looks up at her.

"Just why... Why is he pushing us away so much..."

"Maybe the trauma was just so much." Momo then looks at Amaterasu after hearing that.

"I can see why... He's been hurt way too much."

"I can agree... I wonder when he will be back...?" Amaterasu was ready to see him again. But Kendo knew how Rei acted in times like these.

"That's not likely... When Rei says he's going to do something... He goes through with it. He's not coming back on his own...He said it himself, "Why would I go back to the people that betrayed me..."

Amaterasu groaned, feeling shitty for not being able to save them. Shoka remains silent because she felt guilty for not helping him.

Reiko mumbled a bit, "It makes sense..."

Katsumi couldn't sit here and do nothing about this knowing her classmate is out in the world fending for himself right now. "We can't sit here and do nothing. You guys saw it too, right?"

"Yeah, shroom! But how can we try?!" Kendo looks at the group with Komori.

"From our experience, he has always been with that woman with blue and pink hair. If we find her. We'll find him" Amaterasu was intrigued by the idea mainly because he is seen with someone.

"Good idea, we should search for this person, yes?" Amaterasu asked. Shoka wasn't fully convinced mainly because of her recent fight with the atomizer.

"How will we find her and how do we know if she's not hostile?"

"Maybe we should find any sign of a villain close to him. Like the green-suited one..." Amaterasu still had memories of her fight with the atomizer.

"That wouldn't be the best idea... We can't go into another fight blindly like that. Especially now. We don't want another fight since we were prepared for that other fight" Kendo then remembered something from her encounter with Rei and Lady Nagant.

"I will say this. The woman with the blue and pink hair does seem adamant about having him see us. If she wanted to, she could've taken us out at any moment but she didn't. So scouting her out would be the best option. "

"Agreed..." Amaterasu nods after saying that.

"It's settled then. We'll find him" Mina says with determination. Momo wasn't so sure that they should be doing this alone.

"Shouldn't we get some of the pros involved? I mean it will make things easier for us" Reiko then chimes in and gives her opinion about it.

"After all... we can't do it if it is just us..."

"It's the smartest option we have shroom!"

"We'll search out for him tomorrow meanwhile let's rest up" Mina was right they all need rest for their rescue mission for tomorrow.

"I'll go let Mr. Aizawa know" Momo runs off to get Aizawa and fill him in on their plan

"Alright. That'll be good then." Amaterasu says. All of the students head back to their respective dorms and rest up for tomorrow. Most were already asleep but Amaterasu couldn't go to sleep thinking about everything that happened. Back with the villains, Rei couldn't really sleep either due to what happened prior.
