Alacandraz POV

20 years prior...

"My boy, you seem to have forgotten your place as a lesser. This vile act won't go unpunished."

The shadowed figure baring two black horns sat on the throne, gazing down at the adolescent. Alacandraz gazed back up at the man with tears in his eyes and accepted what was to come.

"I'm sorry master, I just wanted to save her!"

"Silence!"

The horned humanoid had his palm raised, the guards escorted the troubled student out of his quarters. The guards escorted the young Alacandraz back into the dune pit where he was met face to face with a hydra serpent. The overseer of the pit wore robes that elegantly laced down his body. His eyes were filled with stars.

"Start the forced will process."

Arthur POV

Arthur stood poise before the hulking hunk of scales and muscle. He gripped the mana-infused broadsword in hand, feeling the mana rage through his mana channels, the heat the dwelled through him as fire erupted from his skin like a searing volcano.

Alacandraz's lips perked up as he could feel the indomitable aura emanating from this devil child. Despite being only four years old his aura cracked the marble and concrete of the room, his blood flowed through him like a raging storm as his eyes were like a void, showing endless malice towards the slave lord.

Alacandraz with his mighty form hid the facades of fear and excitement riling inside of himself. His limbs grew shaky before he hoisted himself. Either way, one of them was not leaving this room, and he accepted that.

Alacandraz leaked more toxic poison into the air hoping it would wear down his opponent. The boy's nostrils flared as the toxic gas entered his system, he could feel a slight sear as it entered his body; however, the thick layers of aether within the air flowed in as well, repairing what damage the gas caused. Arthur used wind magic to control the airflow, colliding the mist into a toxic vortex that focused its area of effect away from Virion and Tess. Alacandraz's expression grew less confident as his atmospheric technique showed no merit before the adolescent.

"You're a problem. Master won't be pleased."

Arthur's thoughts dwelled on the last part of his statement. So there is at least someone above him. The boy's lips curled to a sly smile under his mask as he lunged towards Alacandraz, their swords sparking against each other as the mana infusing both swords budded heads wildly against each other.

"Good for you, you're catching on."

The hunk of meat of a man clicked his tongue under his breath from Arthur's sly remark.

"Don't get cocky with me, brat, you need to remember your place as a lesser!"

Blue flames erupted from the skulls dwelling along the base of the giant beast killer sword that Alacandraz wields. The flames sheared through Arthur's blade like butter. The cornflake-haired boy maneuvered out of the way of the searing blade before it would have a chance to cut through him, Alacandraz is slow but holds his strength with great merit, so it wasn't difficult for Arthur to maneuver past the blade.

However, Alacandraz was cunning in battle tactics.

The flames that ignited from his blade spread throughout the air, getting caught into Arthur's poison vortex, erupting into a mighty explosion that destroyed the room they were in.

Shit.

Arthur leaped towards Tessia gaining hold of Virion along the way, protecting them both with his octagonal mana barrier.
