Daniel didn't expect to wake up with a discusting old mummy next to him, but hey! He was alive... for now.

Daniel was definatly that one guy who, when asked who should be president, he would say 'Chuck Norris!' Daniel loved adventure.. but he never really sought it out. It came seeking him. He could be a big deal to handle.. he could be whiney, or energetic.. You could never tell with Daniel. There were no big, deep dark secrets about Daniel.. For the most part, he was an open book. The only thing people didn't know about him was why he always had a necklace of a nice little heart on. That's because even Daniel Didn't know why he had it. He never questioned it, though. He liked to think a pretty girl gave it to him. Oh right.. you wanted to get back to the mummy, right? Sorry.

Daniel didn't particularly enjoy the acompanyment of dead bodies, wrapped in lenin cloth; but hey! It wasn't strangleing him. He pushed the mummy off of him, stood, and dusted off his leather Jacket. It was a size too big, mostly because of Daniel's slender build, but also because it belonged to his brother, Tony. He took his Aviators out of the pocket, and placed them on his face. He continued dusting himself off. First, his t-shirt. He had no particular choice in shirts. If he needed one, he found one clean and fitting. He swiped at his jeans. There was an odd amount of dust on them.. He called out for help. "Help! Anyone there?" He heard something in the other room. He collected his bag from beside the hotel bed. It was just like any other survival pack.. big and useful.

He took out his flashlight, and began searching through the hotel. He exited the room, and walked through the hallway. There was a shuffle down the hall. The shadows.. They seemed to move right before his very eyes! "Show yourself!" Daniel exclaimed. "Calm down! I only dropped my bag." It was only his friend, Krystle. "Krissy!" Daniel said, a bit annoyed. "You've got to be more careful! Alexandria isn't the place to fool around." Yep. they were in Egypt. It's just were Daniel felt like staying this summer. There was supposed to be great rain-fall, but none had come so far. If it was gonna rain in Egypt, you better believe Danny and Krissy were gonna be there.

"When did you get here?" Daniel asked. He always asked Krissy this. Never failed. She never knew when. He just did. "Not too long ago." She replied. "So.. Rain in Egypt.. How is this gonna work?" Krissy pondered. "Well, I'd like to think that the entire city of Alexandria froze over, Unicorns Appear, and all things turn to pixie dust. After that, the sky gets the sniffles from all the pixie dust, and BOOM! Rain." Daniel replied, with a smile on his face. "Only one problem with that, wise guy. Don't you think the sky would get the 'sniffles' with all this sand??" Krissy was being deliberatly sarcastic. She loved proving Danny's little theories wrong.

"Oh. Well I suppose you're right..."

" Of course I'm right, you baka!" Krissy smiled. "Wait what?? Oh never mind. We're here for a reason. Let's find out why."

The two began searching. Looking for anything and everything. If it moved, the looked at it. So far, all there seemed to be were empty rooms. After about an hour, the started loosing hope. "We're never gonna find anything!" Kris whined. She was tired and confused, and all the while having to put up with Danny. Daniel heard a tiny sound from around the corner. "Shhhhhh!" He said sharply.

"Wha..."

"Shh! I can hear something.."

He walked over and peered around the corner. There was a unfamiliar door that didn't match the hotel, and wasn't connected to anything. It was just there. He didn't understand it, but he approached the door. Krissy followed. He yanked open the door and dove inside. Big mistake. Daniel looked down and realized that he was falling from several stories above. Where there was previously hotel, now was nothing but good ole' oxygen. "AAAAARRRGGGHHHHH!" Not the most glamourous moment in Daniel's life, but cut him some slack. He was, afterall, falling from multiple stories above sand. He reached over his shoulder and pulled out a blanket. He ripped it open and began to use it as a parachute. One problem, he quite literally riiped open his blanket. "Awwwwh.." Danial sighed, saddened. He remembered parachuting off of the Eiffle Tower with that blanket. He wondered how it was possible that he could have ripped a hole in his blanket. Daniel had done that loads of times before now. How did he mess up this time. He wrapped himself in his blanket, and prepared for the worst.

There was an unfolding noise from behind him. Krissy had jumped after him, but slightly more prepared. She had grabbed Daniel, mid scream, and pulled a chord on her actual parachute. They began sinking slowly, now only about 200 feet from the ground.

"Pansy." She said with a smile. "Hey, you'd have screamed too!" He defended. Krissy only laughed at that. It was true, but she couldn't let Danny know that. He would become too powerful. She'd never hear the end of it. Daniel looked down at his pretious blanket. He let out a single tear, and put it in his bag.

They reached the ground brilliantly, if you call faceplanting brilliant. Daniel stood. "Where are we?" He asked. Krissy looked around, and then said, "More like When are we. It seems to be the same place, but less old." "Are you sure?" Daniel asked. He wasn't objecting, but

he still questioned what happened. The two heard noise from all around them. People were staring at them. They seemed to be in the high class part of the city.

There was a woman staring at the two. She was dressed like royalty. "How did the two of you get here?" The two realized by her speech that this mystery woman is Cleopatra. Like.. THE Cleopatra "Well.... not sure.. Kinda fell through a door.. sooo.." Daniel started trailing off in the end. "That's simply amazing!!" She looked up found the doorway Danny spoke of. "There?" She asked, pointing at the small opening in the sky. "Yes!" Daniel said. "But there must be a reason we're here... is there anything weird happening around here?" "Actually..."she looked around. "Not here. Follow my men."

The two shrugged at each other, and followed the guards to the palace.
