Guys over 400 reads... What even!?! I know that's not much but it is when you didn't even expect 100 reads.
Wow thanks for reading and all that jazz. I hope that you enjoy this chapter. Im very sorry for my lack of updates. I explained why in the previous 'chapter'. Im gunna try and get back into updating regularly. Zayn leaving may pale in comparison to other things happening in the world but, to me it is very important. Im sure you would care more if your best friend moved away than if there was a drought on the other side of the world. The drought may be more important but you have a personal connection with that friend. Aaaaaannywway now that we've finished this 4 year long intro lets get on with the chapter.

"Chemotherapy- often abbreviated to chemo is a category of cancer treatment that uses chemical substances, especially one or more anti-cancer drugs"

That was the google translation. People know what "chemo" is. They know that it is very often used to treat cancer, but thats about it. Most peoples knowledge about it is limited to this simple google translation. They dont know the side effects or any of the longterm damage that happens to people who go through it. Now that Ben is going to have to undergo this everyone suddenly wants to know more. They want to know as much as they can. They look on every medical website known to man just to get a better grasp on the concept. None of them like what they are reading. Especially the side effects. No one wants to see Ben go through this.
Everyone is there. Bens grandparents, his aunts and uncles, his cousins, his sisters his mom and obviously Luke. They are all petrified and nervous, but they are all trying to hide it behind fake smiles and laughs.
Ben has gotten atleast 10 long and painful pep talks already. Each one mentioning the phrases 'I love you', 'stay strong', or the classic 'It'll be okay' at least 3 times. This was his least favorite and simply because none of them were doctors, none of them were god, and none of them were psychics so realistically, none of them could promise him that everything would actually be alright. Everyone was trying to force hope down his throat.....except for Luke.
Luke wasn't trying to convince him that everything would go smoothly without complications. Luke made sure that Ben knew that things were not going to be perfect and were not going to be easy but, he also made sure that Ben knew that luke would be there when things were going not-so-perfect and when things werent easy to handle.
It was about 1 in the afternoon when rhe doctor came back and greeted herself. She explained exactly what was happening with Ben and how chemotherapy was going to work.
Apparently Ben has a type of
Chronic leukemia and he may have have it for years now. Some people with chronic leukemia show no early symptoms. This is why many cases go undiagnosed for so long.
As the Doctor was rambling to them, mostly to Bens mother, Luke noticed how nervous Ben was. He was fiddling with his bracelets and his hands were shaking like mad.
Luke quickly but gently grabbed a holf of his hand to snap him back into reality.
The doctor finished talking and within the blink of an eye Ben was off at his first round of chemo.
When Ben got backeveryone was elated and bombarding him with questions.

"It went fine. Calm down" Ben said with half a smile his face.
"Oh and they said I could still go to school! I mean.. Obviously comeback for treatments and stuff but i can still like go to school. I thought i was gunna be stuck in this room"

"Cool" Luke said with a huge grin on his face as he hopped over to hug Ben.
As he nuzzled his head into Bens neck he said "Its only saturday and we've got the day off Monday. 3 whole days of cuddles"

"You're so girly Luke" Ben chuckled " but youre still cute so its okay".

They spent the whole long weekend chilling. Luke couldnt really do much anyways with his foot and Bens mom was to afraid of him getting sick to let him go anywhere.
They honestly couldn't wait for school. They needed to get out of the house.
As Monday afternoon rolled around they got ready for school the next day. Lukes bmBen staying with Ben for a few days now and it seemed like he had already moved half of his wardrobe to Bens house.
They had an early night. Ben was feeling really sluggish that entire day and knocked out before 8:30.
At about 10pm Luke was awaken once again by Ben in the middle of the night but this time he wasnt sitting on the.edge of the bed. He sat up and heard Ben in the bathroom next door vomiting.
He was about to get up when he heard his mom trying to console him.
"Mom I don't want to die" Ben kept repeating.

"Its Okay honey. Iys just a side effect of your treatment. You're not going to die"

"How do you know that? Everyone keeps saying its going to be fine but how do you know that? How do you know that?!"

After that there was nothing but silence. This question made his mom think.

Maybe he wont be okay.
