"Alright class, if you have any questions about today's lesson please stop by my desk before you go. Have a nice weekend, everyone." Julia said, dismissing her class.

Julia watched as the majority of her students filtered out of the classroom quickly, motivated by the nice weather they were missing. But two remained in the lecture hall, one of her top students, Jolie, and one of her more...verbal students, Jackie.

"Hey, Professor Argent!" Jackie called. "Jo had a question for you," they said, smirking at their rosy-cheeked friend.

"Ah, Jolie, Jackie, what can I help you two with?" Julia asked as she shut off the projector.

Jo shifted nervously from foot to foot as they spoke. "We were just wondering...well, I was just wondering-"

Jo was interrupted by the swoosh of a window opening above them. Julia looked up just in time to see her favorite ex-thief jump from the skylight above, landing perfectly next to her. The lady in red slung an arm around Julia's waist and kissed her cheek, to the extreme confusion and panic of her two remaining students. "Hey, Jules. You ready to go?"

Ignoring the students gaping in front of her, Julia directed her gaze toward her girlfriend. "I–yes, Carmen. Just give me a few minutes, alright?"

"Holy shit-" Jo muttered under her breath.

Jackie stammered for a second, looking from Carmen to Julia and back again, no doubt dumbstruck at the confirmation that gay people can drop from university skylights. "I–uhm, yeah, we just wanted to-"

Carmen and Julia's eyes both snapped from each other to the two young students and Jackie faltered.

"Uh–wanted to wish you a good weekend! Have a good time with your..." Jackie's eyes flicked to Carmen and then back to Julia, a blush blooming on their cheeks, sentence stuttering to a halt.

"...your uh, your person." Jo said, cutting off her classmate. "Come on, Jackie, let's go...uh, study." And with that they dragged a still stammering Jackie out of the lecture hall.

As the door shut with a dull thud, Carmen turned back to Julia, a smirk playing at the corners of her lips. "Do all the gays take your course?

Julia laughed as Carmen released her. She grabbed her belongings from her desk. "I would hope they all attend this quarter, considering we're covering queer people and icons in ancient cultures."

"Oh?" Carmen asked, her interest piqued, as she held the door open for Julia. "Would you do me the honor of expanding on the way to coffee?"

Julia smiled at her, eyes sparkling with enthusiasm of the subject. "Goodness, I don't even know where I want to begin. We were talking about ancient Greece today, and there's so much to cover..."

"What about your favorite queer person from the time?" Carmen suggested, taking her hand as they walked through the university hallways.

Julia hummed in thought for a moment, before saying, "I know this person is rather infamous, but I've been quite fond of Sappho since my high school years. I read her works quite a lot when I first came out to myself."

Julia's hair ruffled slightly in the wind as they stepped out of the building and onto the street. She shivered slightly in the chilly March air, but kept her stride, one hand holding Carmen's and the other shaking the sleeve of her button down to cover her arm.

Carmen let go of Julia's hand to take off her hoodie, revealing a plain black T-shirt. She wrapped it around her girlfriend's shoulders. Julia paused and looked at her curiously.

"What—don't you need the hoodie?"

"It looks like you need it more than I do. Besides," she added, lips quirking as Julia slid her arms into the sleeves of the hoodie, "Red's a good color on you, Jules."
