The next morning, Damon and Brian go to the garage to meet with Jesse to talk about the car.
"Hey, Jess. What are you doing up so early?" Damon asks as he walks around the side of the garage where Jesse's camper is.
"Morning. How you doing?" Jesse says as he works on the car. "Dudes, I've been up all night figuring this shit out. There's a disc in the trailer. I'll be right back. You both hang tight. I'm gonna take a piss." Once Jesse comes back out, they gather around the computer in the garage. "Tell me what you think about this," Jesse says as he puts a disc into the computer. "Koni adjustables. Gonna save us about 2 pounds. And they're gonna give us better traction for the hole shot."
"Sounds great," Damon says as Brian nods in agreement.
"All right, this is your basic layout of the car. And that's pretty much what it could look like when it's finished. Red, green," Jesse explains as he shows them the different colors for the car.
"You should be going to MIT or something," Brian tells Jesse as he looks at what he had accomplished impressed.
"No, I got that... What's it called? That attention disorder..." Jesse starts to explain.
"ADD," Damon answers him as he pats his shoulder.
"Yes, that shit. Yeah. You know, I was good in algebra and like math and shit. Everything else I failed. Dropped out of school. I don't know. It's just something about engines that calms me down, you know," Jesse explains causing Damon to smile at him as he nods in agreement.

That evening, at the Toretto household, Damon and Jesse are playing basketball while Brian and Dom talk by the grill. Damon scores a basket as Vince, Letty, and Leon pull up in the driveway.
"I'm outta here," Vince says as he hands his bags to Leon, having seen Brian.
"Come on, dog," Leon tries to stop him.
"Yo, Dom," Letty says to get his attention on the situation.
"Vince, get over here and give us a hand," Dom calls as Vince starts walking back to his car.
"Looks like you got all the help you need, brother," Vince says before getting into his car and driving off. Trixie and Mia are inside making the rest of the food before Dom sends Damon, Brian, and Jesse inside to help them. Damon smiles as he sees Mia, looking as beautiful as always except this time she is in a dress.
"Mia! Trixie!" Dom calls as he puts BBQ sauce on the chicken. "The chicken's dry!"
"All right. We're coming out already," Mia says as she brings out a bowl of rolls. She is followed by Trixie carrying potato salad, who is followed by Damon with some baked beans. Jesse and Brian, who are carrying beers are the last to come out of the house. Mia hugs Dom before they all go sit at the table with Mia sitting between Trixie and Letty. Jesse grabs a piece of chicken and puts it on his plate causing Mia to smile as she knew what was coming next.
"Hey, hold up," Dom tells him causing Jesse to freeze. "Because you were the first to reach in to get the chicken, you say grace." Mia smiles at Damon, who is at the end of the table opposite of Dom, before crossing her hands.
"Dear heavenly..." Jesse starts but doesn't know how to continue.
"Spirit," Leon says helping him out.
"Spirit. Thank you," Jesse says causing Mia to smile even bigger as she and Damon make eye contact once again. "Thank you for providing us with a direct port nitrous injection, four core intercoolers and ball-bearing turbos and titanium valve springs. Thank you."
"Amen," Letty says as she and Leon clap.
"Not bad," Damon tells him with a smile.
"He was praying to the car gods, man," Letty says before they start fixing their plates.
"Look who it is. "Old Coyotes 'R' Us"," Leon says causing them to look and see Vince walking up.
"I thought you weren't hungry, pumpkin," Letty says with a smirk.
"You know, I gotta eat," Vince says with a shrug.
"He's always hungry," Trixie says in agreement.
"All right, sit down," Dom says before Vince walks over and kisses the back of Dom's head then squeezes Mia's shoulder.
"How you doing, Trix?" Vince asks as he walks to his seat across from Brian. Vince grabs Brian's beer before water falling some into his mouth. Brian takes a drink of his beer after Vince sets it back down.
"You coming from the hospital, Vince?" Dom asks as everyone fixes their plates. Vince nods as he sets his beer down.
"Yeah," Vince says quietly.
"How's your mother doing?" Dom asks him concerned.
"They're giving her shit for the pain," Vince answers him with a sigh.
"What are they giving her?" Mia asks him curiously.
"Something that I can't pronounce," Vince answers her with a small smile.
"Let's make sure we put a plate of food together. Save something for her," Dom says as he looks at Vince. "Tell her we all said Hello."
"She'd appreciate that," Vince says with a small nod.
"Let's eat some grub, man," Letty says as she pats Vince on the back.
"So, what's on your mind speed racer?" Dom asks as he looks at Brian. "What are you thinking about?"
"Nothing," Brian says as he slightly shakes his head before grabbing his beer.
"You're in deep thought over there," Damon says with a smile.
"I just think this is nice," Brian says as he looks around the table
"What's nice?" Dom asks him confused.
"All this," Brian answers him as he motions around the table. "You know the picnic and the barbecue. It's like a family."
"What are you? An orphan?" Letty questions him with a raised eyebrow.
"No, it's just whenever I show up my dad always calls the cops," Brian jokes with her causing everyone to laugh.
"That's funny," Dom says as he slaps the table before pointing at Brian. "No cops at the Toretto's house." Damon glances at Brian as Vince and Brian take a drink of their beers while they stare at each other. "Rule number one."

Later that night everyone is watching a movie besides Brian, Trixie, Damon, and Mia who are cleaning up.
"Need a hand with anything else?" Damon asks as he sets a few dishes by the sink. Brian and Trixie are outside getting the rest of the dishes.
"No, I'm good. You can go join the boys and watch the movie," Mia says as she washes the dishes.
"The cook doesn't clean where I come from," Damon says as he starts helping by drying the dishes.
"I'd like to go there," Mia says with a smile.
"I think we should go out sometime," Damon says shyly as he glances at Mia.
"No, I don't date my brother's friends," Mia says with a shake of her head.
"That sucks. I'll have to kick his ass then," Damon says causing Mia to look at him with a shocked smile.
"I'd love to see that one. I would pay to see that one, actually," Mia says with a giggle as Brian and Trixie walk in with the rest of the dishes.
"Wash my car when you get done," Vince says as he walks into the kitchen to make popcorn.
"What was that?" Mia asks turning to look at him.
"No, Mia. I'm talking to the buster. Wear your favorite dress, cause when you're done, I'm putting you on the street where you belong, cutie," Vince explains causing Brian to turn around while Mia goes back to washing dishes. Vince starts messing with the microwave. "Is this thing broken? What's wrong with this thing?"
"V?" Trixie says trying to get Vince's attention. "V, What was that Cuban restaurant you wanted to take me to? The one with the picadillo and..."
"With little red candles, wooden tables..." Vince adds and Trixie could tell that he was getting excited.
"The plantain, food all over the place. What it's called?" Trixie asks as she nods in agreement.
"Cha Cha Cha," Vince answers her with an excited smile.
"Yeah, that's it," Trixie says with a smirk before turning to Brian. "Well, you can take me there. Friday night at 10:00. Is that good for you?"
"Yeah, it's perfect," Brian answers with a smile.
"Good," Trixie says as she glances back at Vince with a smirk. Vince looks over at Mia, who had turned around.
"You can take me out Friday night, 9:00," Mia says as she looks at Damon.
"Perfect," Damon says with a smile causing Vince to glare at both Damon and Brian before Vince leaves the room and hits the door on the way out.
