Charlette and I were conversing at the privite couples area of the restaurant we were eating in, and I was trying to move the convorsation to a more interesting topic, as i was finding her talk of floral designs rather boring.

Alas, my efforts went unoticed, as she kept droning on, seemingly unaware of my input entirely.

See, i never really wanted to go on this date, but my parents had insisted that I went, trying desperately to get me to give them granchildren, as I was the only one of their children who hadn't.

Looking out the window i saw crisp leaves falling from their branches, winter would be soon, a relief, to be sure.

I always liked winter, the pleasant chill let me snuggle up in piles of blankets without overheating, Christmas was a downside, too old to recieve presents from parents, living alone on that dreaded date scorched his insides with jealousy for those who managed to find someone.

Ok I give up writing is a pain as i've found out, and i don't even like romances, enjoy a snippet of what could've been
