Past Lives and Reunions Pt. 2

~~~Mari's POV~~~

"I have one more question before we move on. How did you two react when you saw each other de-transformed after the fight?" I ask.

"Well, I was shocked. I honestly wasn't expecting Miss Madiliene's best friend to be Ladybug. I know I made a face but then I started to feel even worse. One, I promised her that nothing bad would happen to her and she ended up dying. Two, I took her away from her family and friends. It made sense her parents killed me. I probably would've done the same."

"I was shocked as well. To know that my favorite butler was my partner was nice. I mean, it was sad it had to be known for a bad reason. And my family went about everything the wrong way. It wasn't like he killed me. I wish we had more time to be partners, but life decided differently."

"What do you mean favorite butler?" Alya asks.

"Yea don't think we didn't miss that little bit of information," I say.

"Next wielder, please. We don't have time for more questions," she says blushing.

I notice they're sitting closer again. 'Sweet.'

"I guess we shall go next. This is when I ruled over Egypt. Chat Noir was my servant and he protected me just as well as he did in real life. Our hardest had to have been when I had to meet someone for peace negotiations. I had to leave the palace and I didn't know whether or not people were gonna create problems while I was away. But I trusted my group of people to rule for the week I was gone. It went downhill when we actually got to the meeting place."

"There was blood everywhere, it was insane. I had been in a war before I became part of her court and it looked exactly like that. It brought back some very unpleasant memories for me. After we stopped we went around trying to see if anyone was alive. One person was and it was a child, and this poor girl was terrified. She wasn't hurt too bad, so she eventually came back with us and became the heir to the throne. When we asked who did this she said, "Our king. He just went crazy when we got here. There was this smoke that went into his caravan as we were on our way here, we didn't think anything of it. When we stopped here a couple of hours ago here that's when it happened. The elder servants tried to keep me and the other children servants away from him but I still ended up getting hurt. All my friends and siblings, gone just like that. I have no one now.."

"It broke my heart to hear that a king had done this to his own people. I asked her where he was at and she said he was back to the area he ruled to finish the job. I nodded and had my medic look her over and help her. I had them take her back to the palace to give a more in-depth examination. I was determined to take this man down. I knew he was bad news but we needed his materials that we didn't have much of. So I had him come with me to keep me safe as the Queen of Eygpt. It was quite interesting when we both transformed in front of each other on accident."

"That's not the point, but when we got to his palace it was red and there was fire everywhere. We stared in horror at the scene in front of us before rushing in. The king was at the top of the stairs leading to his palace and he was laughing. He was covered in blood, but he was crying."

"When he saw us he said "please kill me. I want to stop this but I can't control my body." I tried asking why he was doing this as we started to fight and he just told me that he just started killing and his body wouldn't stop when he wanted to."

"It was honestly traumatizing. We literally watched an entire nation fall except for one little girl. When we finally did get him he thanked us before telling us about the smoke saying awful things, telling him to get rid of everyone, that no one in the nation deserved to live. We say we'd make sure that no one else died and he smiled before we killed him. When the smoke came out I purified it and cried a little."

"I cried as well. When it was finished we finally went back home. I had to make an announcement to all my subjects and we had week-long mourning for the nation. The little girl eventually became like a daughter to me and I decided to keep her as my child and heir. My cat and I here got married and ruled together until we died. We eventually retired as holders once we got too old."

"And that was the hardest one we ever had to fight. Not physically but mentally and emotionally. We were very devoted to our subjects and it broke our hearts to see all that carnage."

"I am so sorry. I am glad you're ok but I'm sad that a whole nation fell all because of some smoke," I say.

"It is very depressing, I'm sorry you had to witness that. I probably would've broken down and not have been able to fight, not to mention you had to kill him," Alya says.

They both nod with small sad smiles. We sit in silence for a few moments before moving on to the next couple.

Oh my god, I am so so so sorry. Everything has just been shit for me lately and I just didn't have time to write. I hope you guys are ready for the next 2 chapters before we fully move on from the past lives. But this is it for pt 2 of it. Thank you and I love you guys.
