OCCLUMENCY

Harry pov

"Study what?" I said blankly.

"Occlmency, potter. The magical defense of mind against external penetration. An obscure bravo of magic, but highly useful."

"Why do I have to study Occlu- thing?" I blurted out.

"The headmaster thinks it is a good idea," said Snape smoothly. "You will receive private lessons and will tell no one what you are doing."

"Okay, who is going to be teaching me?"

"I am," he said.

"Why can't Dumbledore teach Harry!" Sirius aggressively asked. "Why you?"

"I do not know," said Snape and got to his feet. "I will expect you at six o'clock on Monday evening. My Office. If anyone ask, your are taking remedial potions, you do need them."

"Wait a moment," Sirius said.

Snape turned back to us,"I'm rather I'm a hurry, black, unlike you, I don't not have unlimited time."

"I will get to the point,then," said Sirius, standing up. "If I hear you're using these lessons to give Harry a hard time, you will have me to answer to."

"How touching," Snape sneered. "But surely you have noticed that potter is very like his father?"

"Yes, I have."said Sirius, proudly.

"Well then, you'll know he's so arrogant that criticism simply bounces off him." Snape sleekly said.

And before I could react, Sirius and Snape had their wands pointing to each other.

"Sirius!"

"I warned you, Snivellus," said Sirius, " I don't care if Dumbledore thinks you're reformed, I know better-"

"Oh, but why don't you tell him so?" Whispered Snape. "Or are you afraid he might not take advice from a man who has been hiding in his mothers house for six months very seriously?"

"Tell me, how is Lucius Malfoy these days? I expect he's delighted his lapdogs working at Hogwarts, isn't he?"

"Speaking of dogs, did you know that Lucius recognized you last time your risked yourself a little jaunt outside?" Snape said. "Oh and also speaking of Lapdog, your little goddaughter being one for Draco."

And before I could do anything to Snape, Sirius dropped his wand and punched him.

The door opened and the entire Weasley family, plus Hermione came in, Arthur quickly grabbing Sirius before he could do anything else to Snape.

"Had a good Christmas?" Cho asked

"Yeah, not bad," I answered.

"Mine was pretty quiet," said Cho. "Erm.. there's another Hogsmeade trip next month, did you see the notice?"

"What? Oh no, I haven't checked the notice board since I've got back..."

"Yes, it's on Valentine's Day..."

Why is she telling me this? Weird..

"Right, I suppose you want to-"

"Only if you do,"She said eagerly.

I stared, did she think I was going to say something else. I wanted to say, "I suppose you want to know the next DA meeting."

She turned around and walked away, I stared and then something came to me.
